About Tom Emundi
I rescued this little dog in the picture from Hurricane Katrina, his name was Schmooy. He was 13 at the time , I promised him he would never have to live through a hurricane again so I bought this cabin to make sure he would always feel safe from Hurricanes. He passed in 2009 and is buried on the property of the cabin. The cabin represents safety from the storm for this little guy and It will always be his home forever. After he passed I became more involved in animal rescue and today I have 4 dogs and one African Pigmy pot belly pig that always travel with me to the cabin when ever I stay there. This is their vacation home, I just drive them to it.
Tom Emundi purchased this cabin in 2005
Why Tom Emundi chose Murphy
This cabin has been designed with love for nature and animals. The fenced yard allows you to enjoy your stay and let your dog play is safety. I personally have dogs and everything I do is designed around their safety and comfort.
What makes this cabin unique
The gated drive makes you more secure from unwanted visitors and with the electronic eye on the drive way a alert will let you know when something may be wandering up your driveway.
Guestbook comments from the manager
We have had such a great week staying at Rosemount Manor. We had 2 days of "slightly" warm sunny days, a few snow flurries, frost, and now this am rain - so all weather conditions have been covered!
I thoroughly enjoyed my Shaker Box class, Bill bicycled in spite of the weather, and the 3 boston terrier kids got in their riding miles, stayed snug in spite of the low temps, and Magoo, our like a crack addict about his Frisbee, really got a workout chasing it up and down the driveway.
Also wanted to let you know, I used the 2nd bedroom for a couple of nights. With the weather change and all the classroom swirling sawdust, developed a cold with cough, so as not to disturb my spouse with my constant coughing, I moved into the other bedroom. Didn't want you to think additional guests stayed here without your knowledge.
The cabin is great and we really appreciate it being pet-friendly. We have stayed at several VRBO places in GA and North Alabama and yours is the absolute cleanest place we have stayed. Our last rental I discovered a spoonful of dried peanut butter next to the bed (didn't inspire much confidence especially when the bostons start sniffing). As Bill has stated several times - "this is the nicest place we have ever stayed."
I will certainly be looking at taking other classes at the Folk School, as my work schedule permits, (working interfers with such fun stuff) and hopefully the cabin will be available. I think a few mornings that temps were 16 and 19, it was even too cold for Bill who used to live in Michigan, but has gotten acclimated to the warm temps of the Alabama Gulf Coast for the last 10 years and said for us to come back when weather was warmer!
PS - I am taking home a bag full of pinecones from the yard. They will make a nice wreath and a souvenir of Rosemount Manor.
