Nestled on a bluff on the South Shore of Crystal Lake, this lakeside home has spectacular views of Crystal Lake with a peak of Sleeping Bear Dunes. Crystal Lake is beautiful with clear water and sandy bottom. Close to the quaint towns of Frankfort, Elberta and Beulah. Located in the midst of many award winning golf courses including the beautiful Arcadia Bluffs. Enjoy a bike ride on the Betsie Valley Trail or for the more adventurous, try kite boarding on Lake Michigan at Point Betsie. Follow M22 for wine tasting and shopping. Visit Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes selected by Good Morning America as the most beautiful place in America for 2011. Nearby Crystal Mountain offers an award winning spa, water park & alpine slide for kids. After a day of sightseeing, relax while enjoying the views from the covered porch or dock. You will stay cool on hot summer days with the northerly lake breezes and the shade from the hemlock trees. The great room is perfect for meals & socializing whereas the family room offers an extra comfy sofa to watch movies on rainy summer days.

About The Owner

We have been part of the Frankfort community for over 50 years. We enjoy all the area has to offer including boating, sailing and biking. We have shared many memorable moments with our family and friends and hope that you do too.

The Owner purchased this house in 1996

This property has dual benefits. From the house, the views are spectacular and the setting is private. The beach and dock area are wonderful for swimming & relaxing.

What makes this house unique

Included with this rental is a boat hoist. We also provide a double kayak and canoe for your use. There also are beach chairs for you to enjoy.

A Perfect Stay!

My family gathers for our annual Cousins Reunion every summer, and we all agree, this has by far been our favorite cottage. The owners are great to deal with, very cordial, and made a point of checking in to see if all was well with our stay. The cottage and surrounding property is gorgeous, and has absolutely everything you need to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The kitchen is especially well-eqipped and a joy to use! We loved being able to use fresh herbs from the herb garden in our nightly cooking extravaganzas.

The view and surrounding woods are so beautiful, and there's a community dock, swimming raft, and a on the beach. We definitely want to stay again next summer! Thanks for sharing all this beauty with us!

Beautiful home! Fabulous view!

Great location, just 10 minutes from Frankfort and a little further to Beulah. The Cherry Hut is a must for the best Cherry pie ever and at the best price. Lunch was wonderful. The view was fantastic, kitchen gourmet. The owners could not have been better. Our three grown children, three grand children and one son in law thoroughly enjoyed the view and beaches at Frankfort. Hot tub was a bonus. Thanks for a memorable week with our family plus Buddy and Woody our Bichons. We came from Texas and Oklahoma where there are no clear blue lakes or wonderful maple trees.

Piece of Heaven on Crystal Lake

This beautiful "cottage" home overlooking Crystal Lake was beyond our wildest expectations as summer renters. The VRBO description falls short of how gorgeous the home and setting are. The owners went out of their way to help our family with some logistics. The house has every possible thing a family could need. We did not have to bring anything including linens. This is a huge convenience when traveling as far as we did. We never saw or heard any neighbors even though they were there. Even though the house is on the bluff there is a shared beach which was never busy. This rental is an A+!!!

I am sitting in this wonderful house as I write this review. It's a great home in a beautiful setting. Wonderfully appointed, great views, a short walk to the lake, and very nice owners. All-in-all it's perfect.
