Undisputedly the best family place on Cayuga Lake in the Heart of the Fingerlakes.
Ideal for couples, small groups, retreats and large family reunions as well.
Superb and spacious home with 24 feet high cathedral ceilings and large windows facing the lake, elegantly furnished, original art work (partly by local artists), all natural paints, superb stereo/large flat TV for DVDs, 100% hardwood or tile floors, wool, sisal or Persian carpets, Finnish sauna, Finnish fire place and wood stove, fire pit in the garden, 50 acres woodland, ravines, waterfalls, right on the lake and with your own dock.
Also included is a daylight basement apartment with full bath, bedroom, living room, kitchen and wood/tile floors. The apartment is not rented to third parties unless you also rent the main house.
Weekly and week-end rentals for wine tours etc. available (2 day minimum); ideal for retreats, family reunions, writing your unfishined book, weddings, and more, all year round. Absolutely breathtaking in the summer, autumn, winter and spring!
This gorgeous single family, non-smoking home on the shores of Cayuga Lake has five bedrooms (one of which is very spacious with 450 sq. ft.), three bathrooms, a separate shower area on the ground level with access to a large lawn and garden with a fire pit, sauna, and more. The daylight basement apartment's living room also has a double futon which can easily serve as a 6th bedroom.
In addition to the bedrooms, with king, queen and double sized beds, the living rooms have large futons and a spare mattrass so the house sleeps up to 21 if needed. (But if you come alone or as a couple, the place is still fabulous and affordable; I used to live there year round).
The main living area has 24 foot high cathedral ceiling and glass front facing the lake for a spectacular view. The adjacent dining area also looks out on the lake. And the home us surrounded by 50 acres of woods; great strolls and playing for kids.
Here is what recent customers (and now friends) had to say:
“I suspect word-of-mouth is the best form of advertisement. Perhaps I might say that in my search for Shangri-La, I found it just outside Ithaca! … Quiet, peaceful, heavenly spot. Perfect for what I needed” (Allison May 2005).
“Your house is a credit to you the detail and work you have but into it has made it an extraordinary house. I must admit that the photo's on the Internet do not do your house any justice. It is by far one of the nicest house that I have seen. Thank you again for sharing it with us.” (Aidan from Ireland, June 2004)
“My best friends all came and had the most wonderful time. The kitchen, porch, and fire pit had the amazing quality of drawing people in to a warm, cozy and happy hanging-out environment. The house is beautiful and wonderfully maintained. Everything is beautiful: the location, house, woods and nice owner, fabulous décor! Thank you so much for sharing it with me for my graduation”. (Sally April 2005).

Adjunct professor at Cornell University, now living in Switzerland for the moment, my original country. But I come back ever so often to Ithaca, which I call my home. And Cayuga Lake I call "my lake". I designed the house in part (it's a Lindal cedar) and the decorations inside, everyone says, is like a museum. Each corner, each wall, tells a story.
It is simply gorgeous. Ithaca is Gorges!
Some of my friends say I live in a museum. Lots of attention to detail, to art, to colors, etc. It is simply all round a wonderful place
We rented Krassimira Woods for our small (25 guests) wedding reception, and loved it so much that we stayed on extra time for a mini-honeymoon! The house was immaculately appointed and sparkling clean when we arrived, and everything came as promised. The kitchen was spacious and extremely convenient, as it adjoined the main room and provided a perfect setting for conversation (and even a little dancing). The surrounding woods and lake was an idyllic locale for pictures, and the owner was truly a pleasure to work with! C'est magnifique!
We loved our stay at Krassimira Woods! Perfect place for a college reunion! We had 12 people and it was plenty big enough! Big open kitchen and family room for everyone to gather in! Loved the deck & fire pit. Beautiful view of lake & woods. Casual & warm! Would definitely rent again!
While we were only here for a few days to get a feel for the property before we have our wedding here next year, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owner was always available for any questions or concerns we had. The house was lovely and very clean, the backyard was perfect and spacious, and having the lake shore right there was great! The sizable dock and waterfall made it all the more enjoyable. And our dog had a blast as well! Can't wait for next year!
We had a wonderful time staying here in late September 2014. The house was beautiful and the views were spectacular. Location, location, location. We were in the middle of everything. Within an hour in any direction we were able to visit many wineries, breweries, distilleries and waterfalls. Our cameras are full of great pictures and memories.
We stayed at Krassimira Woods for a bachelorette weekend. The place was incredible. The website pictures do not do it justice. The view is amazing. The house is huge. The kitchen is great for socializing. We did a wine tour and it was such a short drive away. We went swimming in the lake. The sauna is fantastic! Anatole was such a pleasure to work with-so friendly and warm and very quick to respond to emails. We absolutely loved our stay. We did have dinner in downtown Ithaca and that was about a 30 minute drive away. The lake and wine tour is right at your fingertips however.
Great property - nice yard for playing (though with young kids, you have to watch the drop to the lake at the end of the yard!) and the house is big enough to accommodate a large group without feeling crowded. There were 18 of us (12 adults and 6 kids under the age of 6) - and it worked perfectly. The house is well stocked - we cooked all our meals at the house, and had no problem finding pots / pans / dishes etc. We would definitely come back!
