Walk out French doors to the balcony deck and take in the quiet serenity of the courtyard and view from the upper level.
We had a family reunion at the Belvedere Suites. We had Suite 4. It was clean, very efficient, and loads of very pretty antiques. My mother (84) really enjoyed looking at them. My whole family was able to be together right there at the Belvedere. We were able to walk to the local restaruants. I visited the other suites that the family occupied and they all had a very comfortable feeling. We are hoping to stay at the Belvedere Suites for our annual family reunion.
I grew up in this area of Memphis and was so happy to find this place. It is representative of an authentic Memphis experience. My family gathered in Memphis for the holidays. We rented three of the apartments offered - the studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom.They were all spacious, well appointed and super clean! The location is convenient for great Memphis dining and music just a few blocks away at Overton Sq and a short drive to Downtown. I look forward to returning here. I highly recommend it to anyone.
My husband and I dreamt of going to Memphis and visiting Graceland. We finally had our dream come true. What made it even better, was our awesome stay at the Belvedere Suites. Shirley was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The unit was absolutely spotless and soooo much better then a boring hotel. The suites are conveniently located near a supermarket, within a 3 minute drive. There was a laundry mat, directly across the street. And for some local flavor try Zinnies corner bar for drinks, music, and local flare. We would definitely recommend the Belvedere Suites for a more "at home" stay.
I stayed at Belvedere Suites for two weeks from 24th April 2014 for what was my third stay here in a year.
I find my stays at Belvedere much more relaxing and restful than my stats at the many good Downtown Memphis Hotels.
The current redevelopment of Overton Square being a short walk away further enhances the experience. Shirley and her team do a great job to meet their guests needs. If you're thinking about staying here, go for it, I believe you will enjoy your stay.
We were in Memphis for three nights, celebrating our son's birthday with him (he is currently a grad student at UofM). My brother was joining us, so Shirley arranged for us to have two adjoining studio apartments, which was an absolute perfect set-up for our needs. We cooked a huge meal on our first night, and the two kitchens were furnished with everything we needed to insure culinary success! Both apartments were quite cozy, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The grounds and exterior of The Belvedere are so appealing - it's just a little green garden spot right there in the midst of Midtown! We explored the immediate vicinity: can recommend the Bar-B-Q Shop, Molly's La Casita for Tex-Mex and Zinnie's for a nightcap. Also, Joe's Wines and Liquor store has a nice selection and is within walking distance. Finally, Shirley is easy to reach and great to work with. She makes the entire VRBO process such a breeze. We'll be back!
My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom loft apartment on our recent visit to Memphis. I chose this property as the pictures and reviews were terrific and we were not disappointed. Shirley had included many 'extras' in the apartment and they were much appreciated after long travels and big days. Everything was spotless and I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Memphis area. I will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough. Shirley was delightful to work with and quickly responded to our needs. We really liked the barbeque place nearby (recommended by Shirley) and enjoyed our walks. Very cozy.
