Luxurious 3 bedroom 2 bath in Hyde Park - Family Home near UT Campus

Location and luxury!! Our comfortable family home is a 2 minute walk from the bus-line, within 5 minutes of University of Texas campus, walking distance to great restaurants, scratch bakery and a very hip gelato and cocktail bar. Not to mention a small grocery store and one of the city's best vegetarian restaurants.

The house is charming and has quite a history - originally built in 1937, original long leaf hardwood floors, period glass windows, 10 foot ceilings and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. It is a charming, creaky, comfortable and extremely well appointed with 2 living areas, a formal dining room, a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms.

We live, work and play in Austin, Texas and are thrilled to provide visitors with a great place to stay in the heart of Central Austin. We travel with our family of young children quite a bit and understand the value of a beautifully appointed and comfortable place to stay. We've put our hearts into creating a really special place in this cool little neighborhood that we believe you will love.

Why Steve chose Austin

Location and comfort!! You will be a 2 minute walk from the bus-line, within 5 minutes of UT campus, walking distance to great restaurants, scratch bakery and a very hip gelato and cocktail bar. Not to mention a small grocery store and one of the city's best vegetarian restaurants. We lived in this house for 10 years and absolutely loved it. The house is charming and has quite a history. It is a little old and creaky but extremely well appointed and very comfortable with 2 living areas, a formal dining room, a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms.

What makes this house unique

The entire house has been painted with environmentally friendly paints which contain no or very low VOC's. It is professionally cleaned using green cleaning products containing only naturally-derived scents (for those with fragrance sensitivities). All sheets are 300+ thread count and towels are egyptian cotton. We offer extra pillows/blankets/towels and a full-size washer/dryer in the event you need to do laundry.

A complimentary welcome basket with snacks and drinks comes with your rental along with luxury toiletries in the bathrooms, hair dryers, and dishwashing and laundry detergent.

We are happy to stock the kitchen with special requests for an additional cost or can recommend many places around town to help with any special needs you may have.

-catching one of the many nightly live music shows on downtown ($10 cab ride or hop on the bus)

-walk up to Quack's for breakfast pastries/coffee or Julio's for a breakfast taco and then continue your walk through the historic Hyde Park neighborhood for a look at some of the cities most interesting residential historic landmarks.

-Be sure to check out Lady Bird lake. It is the best place in the city for a walk/run or canoe/kayak/rowing or stand up paddling rental.
