Welcome to the Cozy Cottage in the Heart of the Adirondack Mountains! It's nice to go away and feel at home. The cottage features a knotty-pine living room with futon for additional sleeping, cable tv/dvd/vcr/stereo. The well-equipped kitchen contains a full refrigerator/freezer, microwave, x-large toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, glassware, silverware, plates, pots, pans, utensils, etc. The bathroom has a shower unit (no bathtub). And, the separate bedroom contains a queen-size bed with plenty of storage to unpack your suitcases, put everything away, relax, head out and enjoy. For your convenience, there is a compact washing machine, although small, to clean your clothes.

Your well-behaved pet is welcome but you will be responsible for clean-up and damage due to your pet. There is a small back yard behind the cottage to walk your dog.

The cottage is reasonably priced and contains everything you need, other than your personal belongings and food/drink. There is a convenience store within walking distance which makes going out for a forgotten or wanted item very easy. There are several very good restaurants and shops either within walking distance or a short drive...and the scenery is beautiful.

Cozy Cottage Indeed!

My wife and I were in the area for the annual winter gathering of the ADKHighpeaks Foundation, which included climbing some high peaks. Having this nice, warm cottage to come back to was a treat! We appreciated the little touches, such as the large collapsible drying rack, which came in very handy with all our post-hike wet gear. Nice to have a full refrigerator, as well as the hot-plate, toaster oven, and microwave for preparing food and heating water. Very comfortable bed, too!!
We had a very nice stay and plan to return.

wonderful, clean, affordable and convenient

This little cottage is great, a no frills but rustic , quaint little place where we have stayed several times. The owners are awesome and very accommodating. We love having fires outside .

The cottage was a very cute, clean, comfortable place to stay! Dorothy was very warm and welcoming, and was very happy to share restaurant recommendations. The cottage is close enough to Lake Placid to have easy access to the restaurants, etc. but far enough away to have a rural atmosphere. It's also close to great trailheads for hiking.

Owner's Response: Hi Greg. The Adirondack Mountain are certainly breaktaking during the Fall foliage and it was good that you were able to see some of the area plus a visit to Lake Placid. Although the weather was not the best, it was good to hear that you and Carrie enjoyed a hike through the lower AuSable Lakes area before returning to Seattle. Totally enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. A perfect place to rest up before the next day's adventure. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen has everything thing you need including the wine glasses. This is a super value.
