This large new log cabin is situated right on beautiful Okanagan Lake. It has its own private beach, buoy, private dock, boat launch, buoy and boat lift
The cabin has three separate levels. The main level and the loft belong together, the basement can be rented additionally to the same 'party'.
Between the cabin and the lake is room to pitch one or two tents for those who would like to experience camping on the beach. Your car can be parked just outside the front door and there is room for your boat to be tied at the buoy, or private dock. You can even rent the boatlift for $120/wk.
From the 1000 sq ft deck you have a splendid view over Okanagan Lake. Even while you prepare your breakfast in the modern kitchen, you can enjoy the breathtaking lake and mountain views. The loft lets you look down into the living area, but also has glass doors leading to a small balcony from which to watch your friends and family members enjoy themselves, swimming, canoeing, water skiing, or just sunbathing. On the main floor balcony you can do the outside cooking on the available gas BBQ.
In your conventional master bedroom, next to the three piece bathroom, is a queen sized bed. The unique 'loft' has a double bedroom which is equipped with one double and one queen sized bed. There is an additional futon bed in the TV/playroom area as well. We provide beds for seven adults, but there is room for a baby bed. If there are more than seven adults there is also a fully equipped basement, level entry and front veranda, just a dozen steps away from the beach. The basement has a separate bedroom with a queen sized bed and there is also a 'Murphy' bed, plus a full bathroom, wood stove, fridge, kitchen counter and sink, separate dining and living areas. Outside there is ample seating space on the covered veranda, we have provided an additional BBQ for this area. For special arrangements please contact Jake or Styn
From your car you can just walk straight into the main floor, where you will find your kitchen, dining and sitting rooms and a full four piece bathroom.
If you are staying longer there is an opportunity to do the laundry at the ground floor/ basement level.
You'll find the cabin fully stocked, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans, paper towels, napkins, soap, etc. All the bedding and towels are included. There is also an outside BBQ.
For 'wining and dining' you only need to go 10 minutes up the road to La Casa. Vernon, West Kelowna (Westbank) and Kelowna, are less than an hour's drive away.
Groceries, fuel, fishing gear, and many other items can be purchased at a nearby country shop, about 15 minutes away.
Golfing is a 15 minute drive to Okanagan Lake resort or 1/2 hr to the Spallumcheen golf course.
Boat hire and boat fuel is available at Okanagan Lake Resort.
Pick up and return to Kelowna International Airport is available.

Two critical pieces of information are not on the web site info about this cottage. First it is 40 Kilometers north of West Kelowna over a very twisty narrow mountain road. It is closer to Vernon than West Kelowna. Second the driveway down to the is an extremely steep twisty grave road full of pot holes. You need a four wheel drive all terrain vehicle to get in and out of this place. If it was raining or dark I would not attempt to go up or down the drive way let alone chance the mountain road to West Kelowna.
Having travelled all the way from Europe to BC to visit our relatives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, it was a real treat to be taken to this magnificent cabin right on Okanagan Lake. We arrived and could relax in the inviting lawn chairs. The cabin was fully equipped, including BBQ's, bedding, towels and beach towels. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The views from the cabin over the lake were breathtaking. We thought the log home to be very cozy and were impressed with the amenities. Even though it was already mid September, the weather was fantastic. On day two of our visit our relative's son came with a pontoon boat and took us all to Fintry and Bear Creek Provincial Parks where we relaxed a little and the little ones enjoyed the play areas. Coming back we were all a little sunburned but still enjoyed building a fire in the pit at the lake where we could roast our wieners and marshmellows, something entirely new for us Europeans.
Together with friends and more family members who had come up from Vernon we enjoyed a leisurely time on the verandah in the evening overlooking the lake. It was too bad that we did not have near enough time to explore all the things we could have done but we managed to find time to use our canoes to paddle back and forth to Fintry.
Thank you family for the outing to this cabin and we hope to return again some day. We surely can recommend this beautiful log cottage to anyone visiting the Okanagan.
We may have been the first renters. We met the managers and one of the owners who were very nice and also very helpful. The pictures and information on the site are accurate but there are a few things I will add later in the spirit of full discosure. It is truly waterfront with a private beach and small canoe. The cabin is beautiful with a very large deck which may be it's best feature (besides location). It is close to Fintry provinicial park and in a very long string of cottages along the west side of the lake about midway between Vernon and Kelowna (by boat). The property includes several RV trailers that are fairly close to the cabin. They were less than 50% occupied when we were there and belong to owners and their family/friends. People there were very respectful of our privacy but it is close so be aware of that. They are going to put in a private dock later this summer but we shared a large existing dock with people there from the trailers, which was fine. There is a private mooring buoy (very good quality) for the cabin only. The road down to the cabin and trailers (and several neighbouring properties) is dirt/rock and quite steep. There were 2 dogs on the general property but they were mostly kept away from the cabin (but not the property or dock) and quiet.
The main part of the cabin is two floors. There is a seperate suite downstairs which they were just finishing and we were told would be an optional additional rental to have more space in the future. The upper two floors are the main cabin with living room, kitchen, dining area, master suite and full bathroom on the main floor (which opens to the large deck). The master bedroom has a Queen bed (but could easliy fit a king which would be ideal). The upper floor arrangement is a bit uniques but woudl hold lots of people if privacy isn't a big concern. There is a TV room with small outdoor deck and fold out couch. Off of this is a nook with a ?queen or double mattress on teh floor perfect for a teen or two (but no door and lots of sunlight in thes and the tv room). The upstairs bedroom has two queen beds facing each other and seperated by only a portable screen - but it has a door. There is a full bathroom with shower upstairs. Not exactly sure what the suite downstairs will have when finished. Very new, very nicely decorated, no smoking. They have supplied almost everything you could think of including towels, beach towels and linens.
Fintry Provincial Park is very close by, just a little further is Bear Creek Provincial Park. Going north you can visit the Spallumcheen Golf Course, just across the road from it is O'Keefe Historic Ranch. If you had turned left on Hwy 97 you would end up at Sun Valley Race Track
