This newly remodeled upstairs studio is walking distance to everything downtown and in the South Congress (SoCo) district. Experience Austin by staying in this wonderful old neighborhood, which is close to live music, food, culture, history and recreation. The light filled 2-bedroom studio is upstairs in my home. With off-street parking and a private exterior entrance it is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Austin. Gaze out to the two majestic 200-year old oak trees or enjoy yourself by sitting out in the shady backyard patio. A stroll 3 blocks west takes you to lively South Congress Avenue filled with fantastic restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and music venues. The house has a vintage pool which is filled in the summer months for a dip but if you are a swimmer Big Stacy Park and pool is a short walk away with its year round pool which is fed by natural hot springs in the winter months. The park also has over 3 acres of walking trails. Additional swimming and recreation is but a short drive away at Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool. If you are a runner or walker Lady Bird Lake trail is just a couple of blocks away for a jog or walk, and is home to Austin's famous Congress Avenue bat colony. The entertaining Second, Warehouse, and Sixth Street districts downtown are a 3-minute bus/cab ride or a 15 minute walk. Also close by are Auditorium Shores, the Convention Center, The Children's Museum, Whole Foods Market, the Long Performing Arts Center, the Capitol and much more.
The studio has two private bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with a full size. The couch is a pull out full sized bed. A small refrigerator, coffee/tea maker and toaster oven are provided for convenience or take the beautiful five minute walk up to Jo’s Coffee shop, a unique food trailer stop or numerous restaurants.
Austin Bergstrom Intl. airport is only 15 minutes away ($20 cab ride).
Owners are available to provide guests with suggestions on restaurant options, live music venues and much more!

I have lived in Austin for over 30 years and love the creativity and vibrance of this city.
Laura Toups purchased this studio in 1990
I created this new space upstairs to provide others an opportunity to experience Austin while staying in a quiet special place. If desired, I am happy to assist in helping you find the unique places in Austin during your stay.
I stayed here for the weekend. It is within walking distance of downtown, SoCo, walking/hiking/biking trails, and many of Austin's finest attractions. Laura was a wonderful host and her studio was amazing. It has a private entrance, great parking, and it is beautifully decorated. I will definitely stay again!
myself and 3 friends stayed at this property for ACL. it was easy to walk to barton springs and catch a pedicab or take an Uber to the festival. It was also super easy to get to the bars on Rainey St and Dirty 6th. The place itself was in great condition, clean and well supplied. Only thing we really missed was having a kitchen but we made due with the mini fridge! The area is super quiet and peaceful. Even though we didn't get a chance to use the pool or fire pit those are really awesome amenities. The owner left the key under the mat for us so check in and out was easy. I would definitely stay here again, no doubt about it!
This property is exactly as presented. You can tell the owner takes great pride in her property. Everything was clean and well supplied. The beds are really comfortable and the electronics are top notch. But the best part is the zen like garden area around the pool. It was like relaxing in a oasis in the middle of the city. A great way to start the day or to wind down after a busy one. Location was perfect and walking distance to SoCo or even to downtown. Highly recommend. I will stay here again next time I am in Austin.
What a joy. I can not recommend the gorgeous treetop getaway highly enough. The interior is modern but not sterile, very cozy and welcoming, all the comforts of home but fresh and gorgeous and looking out the wall of windows at the backyard just gives one a perm-smile. This is an incredible bang for the buck. Location location location, but more than that, a gracious and very welcoming space that you leave feeling renewed and refreshed and wanting to come back! There is some seriously good energy at this place. I feel a good 5 years younger!
Clean, great location, great back yard, very friendly owner.
Stayed here three nights. The location was perfect for walking to everything in SoCo. The apartment was spacious and clean. Check-in and out were so easy. Would definitely recommend.
