Beautiful lakefront 2 story home on cul-du-sac lot can be your home away from home with access to sports, shopping, dining, hiking etc. Located 10 minutes from NFL Cardinal’s football stadium; home to 2013 Fiesta Bowl. 10-15 minutes to PIR NASCAR track. Close to many golf courses and spring training facilities for White Sox, Dodgers, Indians and Reds, Rangers, Padres, Mariners, and Brewers. Many neighborhood trails allow short or long walks in the evening, or if a mountain hike is more your style, South Mountain park has miles of trails.

Museums and cultural activities in downtown Phoenix, shopping, dining are nearby. Wild animal park, botanical gardens…something for everyone. Boating on Lake Pleasant or a day trip to the red rock country near Sedona are also possibilities.

Downstairs family room has large dining area off kitchen which seats six. TV with DVD player allows for watching movies if you’re finished with your activities for the day. Fully furnished kitchen has refrigerator, electric range, microwave and dishwasher. Pots and pans, dishes, utensils, all included. Lots of counter space, large breakfast bar. Has 18'' ceramic tile floor. Upstairs has large master suite with queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress, jetted tub and walk-in closet. Second bedroom also has queen memory foam mattress with view of pool. Two other bedrooms each have one twin bed. All linens are provided. There is a large loft with combination bumper pool/poker table, laundry room and finished walk-out balcony to enjoy the panoramic mountain views. Backyard has lakefront walk access, fire pit, fenced unheated play pool. Two car garage allows for off-street parking.

About The Owner

Rob and Toni have been married 35 years. We love to travel, have a spoiled chihuahua and two grown children. We just became grandparents for the first time in the summer of 2011 and are expecting our second granddaughter in June 2013.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011
Why The Owner chose Avondale

We wanted to buy a home south of 'snow country' so that when we retire we can enjoy year round recreation. We have family nearby and fell in love with the Avondale area.

What makes this house unique

Just through the gate in the backyard is one of the many walking trails in the area. Many different kind of birds visit our backyard, and even though we are close to the city, sometimes we can forget that we aren't in the country miles from everything. Sitting on the patio, sipping coffee in the morning and listening to the birds is one of my favorite things.

We had an absolutely wonderful time !!!
Your home is very spacious and lovely and we enjoyed relaxing on your patio by the pool in your beautiful back yard, everything being so clean and well maintained. We also took pleasure in strolling along the many paths surrounding the nearby lakes and enjoyed listening to such a wide variety of birds and waterfowl...very serene. Your location was perfect in being so close to so many amenities, activities, restaurants etc. We appreciated your binder full of information regarding all of what the area had to offer, and we quickly realized that any destination was easy to get to. There was so much to see and do! Wish we would of had more time.....Thanks for being so helpful and kind!

We very much enjoyed staying in your home while exploring Avondale and surrounding areas. This was the ideal location for meeting with our daughter, son-in-law and little granddaughter who flew in from Minneapolis. Staying here made it easy to view the neighborhoods for a potential move for them in the near future. We all enjoyed the pool and patio. Driving downtown was quick and easy where we had fun at Chase field on a guided tour. Thanks so much.

Spring Training

Thanks so much for the use of your lovely home. It was the perfect place for our White Sox spring training adventure!! Very nice property

We visited the Phoenix area for baseball's spring training. It was so easy to get around the Phoenix area! This house is very comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked for meal preparation and even baking if you desired. It was always easy to communicate with the owner for any information or concerns. The owner has information about things to do and also three Entertainment coupon books for guests to use. Nice touch as we did use a coupon for dinner one night.

My family and I agreed there were only two things that would make a great addition to this house. We would have liked to watch TV and we would have loved to have the pool heated. It was beautiful, but still too cold to get in.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers
Owner's Response: So happy you enjoyed your time in Phoenix! That was one of the reasons we bought this house. It is so close to so many fun things to see or do. We do have a television in the house, just not cable TV. We find that we are usually so busy with activities, we don't watch much broadcast TV. And the Redbox is just down the road in case we want to rent a movie. We invite you to come back during 'shoulder' season (May-June, Sept-Oct) The pool is just right and the weather isn't usually unbearably hot yet.
