Charming Modern Lake Front Cottage with Beautiful Sand Frontage

My wife was in heaven the moment we walked into this amazing cottage. After a short 1 1/2 hour drive from our home near Detroit, we arrived to find the cottage in immaculate condition. The large kitchen area easily handled the many hungry family members that lined up for breakfast every morning. Sitting on the deck, one could soak up the brilliant sunshine or walk down a couple of steps to the large shade tree at the water's edge. Temperatures were in the low 90's and sunny during our stay but the breeze coming off the water made it very comfortable. My six year-old grand-daughter had her first experience with fishing and after several practice casts, was catching bass right off the dock. The beautiful sunsets and sounds of the water lapping against the seawall while reading a good book at night made the stay very peaceful and relaxing.
Tom and Patti have done an outstanding job in providing everything you need to make your stay enjoyable--from board games and rafts for the kids, to frozen mugs and martini glasses for the adults. The hardest part of the whole vacation was getting my wife to walk out the door on Friday, but with the knowledge that we will definitely be returning next year.

We rented this beautiful home for a month in April & May 2012. Wanted to take advantage of the spring fishing and also have our adult children who live out of state come for a relaxing family vacation. We had a great time. Home was large and clean with beautiful views of the lake from the house and deck. The fishing was great, caught largemouth bass, sunfish, blue gill, perch and rock bass practically off the dock. We brought our kayaks but also used the fishing boat provided and were able to get around the lake just fine. Looking forward to coming back next year.
