My husband and I have been visiting the Wisconsin Northwoods for the past 15 years and we never get enough of it! In 2010, we were fortunate to purchase our own 'piece of the peace.' Our children now join us in wondering when we are 'going north' again. As our careers and schedules only allow us to periodically visit our retreat, we invite guests to do this for us. Our goal is to provide a safe, beautiful home where our guests' only concern is how they want to spend their time relaxing and having fun.
We enjoy this property as it is located on a dead-end road which provides a quiet environment with plenty of privacy and star gazing; however, is convenient to all of the local activities, festivals and fairs. Over the years our family has enjoyed the wineries, arts/craft fairs, seasonal festivals, county fairs, flea markets, fishing, water skiing, tubing, snowmobiling, Go-Karts, horseback riding, bumper boats, Children's museum, wildlife zoo, and plenty of taste testing at local bars/restaurants.
While one has access to 2300 acres of navigable water, our home is located on Chain Lake, one of the bookend lakes. As this lake is not heavily used by tourists, we have always enjoyed the serene, calm waters. The black-topped road leading to our property is perfect for taking walks or biking within a wood-like environment. The fire pit is lakeside, making it perfect for stargazing, or enjoying the nocturnal views of the lake.
