ONE OF INCLINE'S BEST NEIGHBORHOODS

We believe this is one of the best neighborhoods in Incline Village. It’s quiet, mid-elevation, terrific neighbors, lots of privacy, easy access to town but yet not in the middle of town’s hustle and bustle. Walk or snowshoe just three houses down and you’ll find yourself in 28k acres of Toiyabe National Forest! Yes, we have wild beasts that occasionally roam our neighborhood

We have two children who grew up spending warm summers and snowbound winter holidays here.

As a salesperson I travel so this creates opportunity for others to share my home while I'm away. Growing up in San Francisco, I spent my summers at Russian River, Clear Lake and Santa Cruz. I don’t regret any of those experiences BUT Lake Tahoe, with all of the beauty and boundless activities... it can't be beat!

I enjoy snowboarding with my daughters, kayaking, swimming and even lake surfing (Sept to March – yes it is cold). I own a Vizsla named Mara, a Hungarian pointer, who absolutely loves Tahoe. I am an amateur radio nut and at 7k’ elevation I seem to always have good propagation. I also enjoy shooting and use the excellent public range in Carson where my daughter and I target practice with our rifles. If I didn’t have to work for a living… I’d be busy doing stuff all day long here!

Mike purchased this house in 2003

Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, is just 3 hours from Marin County or 3.5 hours from San Francisco. I can surf and snowboard in the same day!

The town offers private beaches, limited development, unlimited activities and is a perfect place for kids! I’ve been fortunate to have traveled around the world and visit some of the most beautiful places on Earth only to find that Lake Tahoe is one such place and its right in my own backyard.

If you like sun... this is the place. We have sun nearly every day! Quiet? My neighborhood is one of the finest in Lake Tahoe and with the open, wooded lot off my deck and the large trees around the property it creates a sense of privacy. My home in the winter, with the wood burning fireplace roaring, is as cozy as it gets. I love the fact I am so centrally located.

Wow, what a great cabin this is! You walk in and immediately you feel very comfortable. It has a great open layout with the main living room, dining room and kitchen all facing the large fireplace. We loved that it had all very nice ammenities, amazingly comfortable beds, and everthing worked perfectly. And you can't beat the location as it's centrally located to stores, Diamond Peak ski resort and the casinos. We were very worried about having a good time because of the lack of snow in January, but we managed to find a few patches for the kids to play in and our little doggie got to run freely and meet the other dogs around the quiet, safe and friendly little neighborhood. Plus, and this is huge for us, was the owner Mike was very responsive and great to work with. Mike, we are so looking forward to coming up again sometime soon, hopefully with tons of snow the next time around!!

We rented the cabin with another family over New Year's and had a great time. The cabin is spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin is everything that a cabin should be and more! We would definitely stay there again .

Sleepless in Incline

The beds were made, the floors swept, nicely appointed klitchen and the rooms were tidy.
Our issues were:
1. Although the floors were swept, they were not clean. Our feet were blackened on the first evening. The only mop available was broken. I spent our first day on my nads and knees scrubbing the floor. 2. Nice sized patio, but was covered in peeling paint and pine needles. The long railing was loose and unsafe. The only patio seating was a plastic picnic table.
3. Hot water temp set so high we scalded our hands regularly while doing dishes. Very dangerous for young children.
4. Windows had no screens and were locked so they could only open about 5". We were hot and unable to use the windows as an escape in the event of a fire.
5. Plentiful cobwebs inside and out.
6. Not enough towels, or wash cloths.
7. Extremely hard beds.
8. Miswired kitchen lights.
9. Signs over both toilets that they clog easily.
10. Huge TV, no cable.
11. Visibly soiled carpet on interior stairs and loft, no vaccuum available.
12. Gas grill had flames shooting out the front, even with the lid shut. We drove to Reno and bought another one, and assembled it. The owner reimbursed us the amount of the grill, without sales tax, or the time it took to procure it or assemble it. Not exactly how you want to spend hard earned vacation time. Gas grill and patio were 2 property features we used to select this property.
13. Dirty windows.
14. No humidifiers in unit.
15. The refridgerator, freezer and cabinets were so full of the owners'/past guests' food items we were unable to adequately store the food we bought. We literally had to clean out the fridge upon arrival and keep our non parishable itmes on the counter tops for the enitre 2 week stay.
16. Whoever painted the walls and ceiling around the fireplace could not reach the top and left large areas unpainted.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. I have limited space to response so I will be quick:
Hardwood floors get dirty fast if you run in and out from the deck – pollen. The railing is to code as is the deck. The paint as I said will be replaced. We have folding deck chairs in closet. H20 is set at standard temp but we have boiler/tank combo so it heats fast. No bugs here so no need for screens and windows are regulated for safety. With 3 full exits plenty of safety + did you try opening the doors? Cobwebs, outside but not in and spiders outside serve a purpose. We have 7 sets of bathroom towels for 7 beds. That’s enough. Sign is over 1 bathroom made by 8 yr old to help adults avoid problems. Cox cable + DSL. You just have to know how to use it. Soiled carpet… probably from your black feet. Hard beds? I think not. BBq was fine the week earlier, I paid you the $ it cost U to buy new one. Dirty windows – at 28’ maybe. Humidifiers? At Lake Tahoe… are you for real? Fridge, I clean out what’s not mine and put my food in… not rocket science. Hello? Paint around fireplace … oh, you mean at 28’? The ceiling trim, sorry. You are right – a 2”gap is there 28’ above the floor.
You paid $185 a night for 4+ people in 2k sf house. The Hyatt is $225 for 1 room. Go there next time.

Hello Mike,
We very much enjoyed your beautiful home and lovely spot, and thank you so much for all your recommendations. I especially appreciated your letting us check out late- it was the best weather day and the late check out allowed me to kayak on the lake- how absolutely gorgeous! Your cleaning people do a wonderful job- marvelously clean!
Thanks!
