EXPERIENCE THE LAKE; LAKE ACCESS, BIKING AND JOGGING TRAILS

Cougar Bay Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

The accomodations are part of a larger estate and sit back from the water about 300'; CDA Lake Drive and Centennial Trail is right out front for jogging, walking, biking or just enjoying. Additional pics are available. I think you will be very pleased with the accomodations.

This picturesque setting boasts the most spectacular view of Lake Coeur d' Alene. Only minutes from town, the location is very quiet and secluded. Shopping and fine dining are only minutes away.

Also, near The famous Beachhouse Restaurant and Marina.

If you are here for the winter, I can help assist you with Skiing tickets at two outstanding ski areas; within 45minutes Silver Mountain or an hour and a half to world class Schweitzer Mountain.

In summer, The world renowned Coeur d' Alene golf course with its floating green is a half mile away.

The Iron Man Triathlon passes by right in front 8 times over the Ironman course. Watch it from your balcony, or sit your chair along the trail.

The lake has a fleet of cruise boats that will take you around the lake. There is also a variety of water craft rentals and boat moorage is available. Remember, We have a private dock for use by our guests for boating, swimming, or fishing so bring your boat!

The accommodations are quiet and cozy. Sit on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the boats float on the water. Stroll along the Centennial Trail. You'll find many other people doing the same. Go into town and relax at a cafe, or go shopping and browsing at the galleries.

Lake Coeur d' Alene is one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, many say it is Lake Tahoe 30 years ago!

Whether you spend your time relaxing and enjoying its beauty from the shore, or spend your time exploring all its features from the water, you will be enchanted by its beauty. Spend some time fishing, swimming in a cove, or watching the sailboats drift by from the deck.

Coeur d' Alene sponsors many events during the summer. Art on the Green is a large art and craft show spread out over three venues in August. The Iron Man Triathlon draws thousands of athletes and spectators. Fourth of July draws thousands of people to the lake shore to watch the fireworks. The Wooden Boat Show also has a great following. With numerous summer events and activities, you will never be bored.

Some of the most beautiful time is in the fall with the changing season, or at Thanksgiving and Christmas. See Santa's workshop, the kids (and adults) love it!

You do not want to miss the Tree Lighting ceremony and Fireworks show the evening after Thanksgiving. The town has an extra 30,000 visitors just for this lighting / fireworks show. Don't miss it.

Comes as a fully furnished kitchen as well as BBQ area. The bedroom has a queen bed, and a full size pull-out bed in the LR, also a sofa in the living area. Come relax in the perfect getaway!

About Jenifer Christensen

We moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2005 and have been looking for the perfect lake property since then. This property is so special and unique, we fell in love with it right away.

Jenifer Christensen purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Jenifer Christensen chose Cougar Bay

Coeur d Alene has a natural beauty that is very hard to match. People who have stayed here say it is like Lake Tahoe was 30 years ago, or compare it to Austria. Both are exceptionally beautiful places.

What makes this cabin unique

Lounge on the private dock; or water ski, tube, walk along the shoreline in the summer. Enjoy world-class skiing in the winter. Don't miss the lighing and fireworks show at Thanksgiving, or Santa's workshop!

My husband and I arrived in Coeur d/Alene for our post-tax season getaway mid afternoon. Jenifer met us and showed us how to use the locked key pad to get the key to the apartment. VBRO didn't have very many pictures of the apartment but we loved the location, the price and wanted to return to CdA. The little over-the-garage- apt. was better than expected. It's absolutely beautiful. There's a full kitchen, lovely living space that faces the lake (which is right across the street), an electric fireplace that kept us warm, and a large bathroom with 2 sinks. There were plenty of dishes and pots/pans if you wish to cook. Plenty of towels for the bathroom ...and best of all plenty of quiet if thats what you're after.
We would HIGHLY recommend this property!

5 Stars PLUS!

  • 5 of 5
The property exceeded our expectations. Great location with easy access to sites in the greater panhandle but removed from the crowds in Coeur d'Alene. The décor of the apartment is beautiful--nice job, Jenifer! All was spotlessly clean when we arrived. (This is NOT a tired looking rental that one can often encounter when staying in vacation properties.) The full kitchen was well equipped with everything one could need for a weeks vacation. Nice sheets and plush towels were provided. The dock was a quick skip and a jump across the street. Each day after golf or hiking, we would go for a swim and a glass of wine on the dock. Beautiful sunsets. Jenifer was extremely helpful in making dinner recommendations--Fleur de Sel in Post Falls is the by far the best locally. Jenifer is there if you need any help, but otherwise you are on your own. The property was a perfect vacation spot for the two of us. We highly, highly recommend this property. Thanks again, Jenifer!

Delightful Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5
We loved our stay at this property. Jenifer was extremely accommodating and helpful. The loft was spotless and VERY comfortable. Having the biking trail just across the road was so handy, and lovely sandy beaches were a short drive away. The small beach area across from the property is for marina members, but Jenifer graciously offered us their private dock to suntan on. I was initially concerned that, because the loft is not air-conditioned, we would find it too warm if we spent time there during the day. However, due to nights cooling off so much (even in mid-July), the loft was a very comfortable temperature all the time. This is a perfect location for those who just want to relax ... and/or for those who like biking, swimming, shopping, eating out, etc. ... it's all close by. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!

Beautiful view of the lake.

With plans to stay a week, visit friends and play on the lake with our boat, we were not disappointed with our stay at the barn loft. Our gracious hosts were helpful in making our stay comfortable and fun. The property location affords the feeling of getting away from it all yet being close enough to town. The boat moorage was extremely convenient as we had just a short walk to the dock from the barn.
We came away from our vacation with smiles and happy memories. Thanks Jenifer and Graham.

Beautiful lakeview property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Graham and Jenifer's charming loft apartment. It was everything the pictures showed and more. The apartment was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the grounds beautifully maintained. The owners were friendly and very helpful in answering our questions and suggesting things to do for our first visit to Northern Idaho. (We loved the "Ride the Hiawatha" bike ride!) We would definitely recommend this property to others.
