Exquisite villa for total privacy in perfect style

My partner and I are very fussy and particular travellers. We value extreme privacy and quiet, in truly beautiful locations, but accompanied by as much luxury as possible (no sand-floor beach-hut for us), and modernist/minimal design (can't stand touristy-vernacular kitsch). All in all, a tall order indeed! I can honestly say that Villa H. exceeded our expectations - and this has never happened to us before.
Now, as with everything, one man's dream is another man's nightmare, so you have to be clear about what you want from your holiday in Antigua before you book this stunning villa, in order to enjoy it as unreservedly as we did.
It is not on the western side of the island, where most of the bars and shops etc are; you need to drive around 20 mins before you get anywhere worth getting to (other than the immediate vicinity of the villa and the nice but quite developed Long Beach), so do not plan to use this place as a launching pad for the ultimate Touristy Antigua Tour. You must want to be in one of the most fabulously designed and furnished modernist villas you can access for this (bargain) price [I am terrified the price will go up as I write this!], with the most luxurious and comfortable interiors, several private terraces and unobstructed views, including a private (and I mean totally private) sunning deck with loungers just above the water, wherefrom you can dip into the sea (not a sandy beach, but a largely sandy, shallow bay, where you can swim forever); you must enjoy spending time there, with whomever comes with you, relaxing in a dozen different positions/loungers/sofas/terrace, and then cooking something in the truly impressive and impressively equipped kitchen (three different garlic crushers... respect!); you must be happy taking a break from lounging with a 20-30min drive across fabulously virgin tropical landscapes in your 4 wheel drive to either the capital for decent provisions, or English Harbour for a formal dinner out (wonderful Admiral's Inn - our favourite), or Half Moon Bay for the bona fide, postcard-perfect pink sand Caribbean beach, etc.
If you want to make new friends every night in a different watering hole, this place isn't for you. But if you are longing, as we do, for an experience of true luxury (which means: masses of space, immaculately designed, all mod cons, dead quiet and privacy, in gorgeous location), without being able to afford Necker Island, then look no further.
