Christmas Get-away
We have 2 daughters living in SLC that could not come home for Christmas…so we went to them! Our other 4 adult children were able to stay in Sugar House with us and we had a lovely Christmas. The dining table was ample enough for all the family plus some local friends of daughters who had no family in town. Loved being able to fit 11 people around the table for Christmas dinner. The hot water was phenomenal. A plus when showering for 6 is happening. And I had the pleasure of a jacuzzi while the others were out. There were a few essentials in short supply. It is a quirky old house (as many old houses are) with lots of character and a little TLC needed but mostly a very positive situation and experience for us.

Sugarhouse Stay
This property was perfect for my family. It is in a great location. The kids had plenty of room to play when we were at the house. They loved sleeping in the loft! Although we had a few issues while staying there the property owner was very responsive when we had to reach out.

Cockroaches and a tv with terrible reception
We brought to your attention the cockroach issue. We found them every day and have pix and videos to share. Your response of surprise does not suffice. If we find cockroaches in our luggage at home you’ll be receiving a bill for extermination.

Stay was fine, nothing special, communication was poor
Took multiple days to hear back from host when less than a week from check in. Property was fine, nothing special. Worth mentioning the basement ceiling is very low if you are taller.

Great location and size, lacking on the cleanliness
Overall it was a nice stay. The space is great and the location is perfect. The host was responsive to questions about access and overall was very friendly. The issue, however is: It didn't seem like the place had been cleaned thoroughly between visitors and the impression really suffered. The dishes were all dirty in the cupboards and one cupboard even had food crumbs scattered on the shelves (I have pictures). No one had cleaned under the beds and it was off putting especially for an otherwise really great place. I'm inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt and especially around the holidays, things get missed. Your stay might be different than mine.
