About owner

I am a retired teacher/realtor. The first time I saw the Mayan was in Playa del Carmen. I fell in love with the concept. Available any week and the flexibility of trading weeks for travel around the world.

We like to travel and now have the time to do it. We go to Mexico every year, but also enjoy seeing the world.

Our family likes it's privacy but also enjoys lots of activity. This resort has something for everyone. Clean, friendly, and top service are important to us. None of the US resorts comes close to the

facilities at the Mayan.

What makes this villa unique

No extra fees with our resort. You only pay for food and drink.

We like to prepare some meals in the condo and the kitchen is very user friendly. The dining in the resort is tops, with lots of variety. From the pool bar to the exclusive Tramanto Italian cuisine is marvelous. We like to play tennis and golf. The golf is challenging and the staff is very helpful. You get a caddy with your golf cart. ( you just need to pay $18 for the caddy).

Best Vacation Ever

Staff couldn't have been more accommodating! The five grandchildren loved the lazy river and pools. They said it was their best vacation ever. ( We've been to three other resorts and cities in Mexico.)

Grand Mayan

The Grand Mayan is an excelant resort and very safe. My only complaint was the mattresses which are very firm and gave me back pain for the majority of my stay.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We too think Puerto Vallarta is a very safe environment.
I'm sorry you didn't like the beds. Some of us like a firm mattress. You should have tried the memory foam pullout beds.

The new Grand Luxxe is open in Nuevo Vallarta and a must see. We loved the attentativeness
of the staff to make our stay soooo relaxing. The pool bar staff attend to our every need and
the restaurants on site "are to die for". Can't wait to go again
