We had a wonderful stay at Shane's condo. The condo was beautiful and very comfortable. There was just two of us but it had three bedrooms. It was our half way point to our trip to yellowstone and jackson hole. It was longer to Yellowstone than we were told. They said about an hour but it was more like 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Had we known that we would have left earlier in the morning. Yellowstone was fun except we got stuck in standstill traffic on our way to the east part of the park after seeing old faithful because a herd of bison had decided that the road was faster than the pasture. After moving 2 1/2 miles in an hour and half we decided to turn around and head back to the city of Yellowstone. There also were alot of fender benders. How that happens going only 45 or less in the park who knows. We don't know how long people sat on the road waiting for the bison to move. We never did see the bison, we never saw any wild animals for the most part. We were told they were up in the northern part of the park. Yellowstone takes three days to see if you are going to see the whole park.. Guess we did not research enough. Another day spent hiking the Targhee national forest and then it was the 16 mile float-breakfast-whitewater adventure another day which was fabulous. We booked it through the sands outdoor company. We also went to the Bar J chuckwagon and wrangler show which was fun. Well worth the money. The last day was spent in the Tetons hiking a while. They are amazing. You could spend the day there with a picnic and swim suit and enjoy the glacier water. We did run across a problem. We got a flat tire and needed to actually replace all 4 tires. Note to self, check your tires before you leave town. Jackson hole and surrounding areas must not have to service smaller cars because nobody had our tire. We ended up driving to Rexburg to Les Schwab and got the full treatment. They stayed opened until we got there just after 6 pm and three guys took care of our cars, unloaded the trunk of all our gear and put the spare back. That was going the extra mile. We loved our vacation and would recommend Shane's home for all to come and enjoy the area surrounding Driggs, I would stay away from the little mexican restaurant on the main drag, not good. The pizza joint in town was delicious and seemed to be the favorite spot. Happy Travels
