Steve Perkins purchased this cottage in 2010
We purchased the property of the beautiful main house and Vineyard. The Cottage was a great bonus! We lived in it for 4 months while we remodeled.
Country/Vineyard living at its best. Walk to wineries, hike/bike our beautiful back country roads, minutes to Healdsburg, Santa Rosa or Napa.
My husband and I ended our two week busy CA trip at this property and it was perfect. Quiet, easy, a total relaxation. We loved the fresh eggs in the morning, the access to bikes (biked around to local wineries), and a welcome gift of water, wine, and chocolates! The patio overlooks all the pinot noir grapes - gorgeous. Steve and Linda were so sweet! They gave us lots of recommendations to wineries and told us about a local band playing - picnic, public drinking (yup!) and a good crowd - we even had a chance to meet them on the dance floor. :) We would definitely recommend this place and come back.
The property exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived until the moment we had to leave! I say "had to leave" because we loved it so much we didn't want to go. The cottage is quiet, modern, well-furnished, and situated in a beautiful vineyard of Pinot Noir grapes. The owners, Steve and Linda, couldn't be more kind and hospitable. Not only did they respect our privacy, but they offered to help us with our wedding arrangements. I have stayed in Napa and Sonoma many times before, and my family used to own a B&B in Calistoga, and I can say with absolute confidence that this is the real deal. A truly great property with owners who understand what it means to be hosts. If you are still reading this, stop what you are doing and book the cottage. I mean it. Do it now! You will not regret it!
My wife and I stayed here during the 2014 Vineman - a perfect location for that event, with easy access to swim start and the finish line. Then stayed a few more days to visit wineries.
The owners were very gracious, giving advice about local wineries and things to do while not ever being in the way at all. The cottage is very tastefully setup and quite comfortable, with full internet access and TV with all the channels. Of special note is the pinot vineyard right outside the back door - complete with some very social chickens (that my wife fell in love with).
You can do some cooking outdoors on the grill (with side burner), and the cottage has a small oven and fridge inside, along with a sink and all the dishes, pans, silverware etc needed. There are a few wineries within walking distance, and MANY others only a short drive away.
Great location, beautiful and comfortable setting, and super nice owners - we would gladly stay here again - highly recommended!
We chose this cottage for its location and value. It is central and convenient to all of Sonoma County. With excellent farm-to-table restaurants nearby, as planned, we ate most meals out. We also enjoyed a bike tour (preferring the Healdsburg tour over Yountville), Sebastopol's farmer's market and Andy's Produce (great latte's), Stinson and Sonoma beaches, Russian River, and hiking in the redwoods. Of course, the wineries are amazing too. Cottage is above average and has beautiful grounds. We recommend the cottage... you won't find a better value or nicer owners.
This cottage was just as pictured and described--and even more. It made our vacation even more relaxing and made us feel at home. We experienced California country living right next to a vineyard and were given a locals view of the area and hotspots. We will definitely return any time we are in California!
My wife and I had an amazing stay at the Pinot House. French doors that open to a private vineyard, welcoming chickens that supplied breakfast every morning, and all the little things (towels, spices, utensils, grill, tv, cooler, and more) to make a comfortable stay. Linda and Steve were very approachable and friendly. Location is in the heart of all the nice vineyards in Sonoma County. Highly recommend this VRBO option.
