The SoLa Lodge, downtown living, close to Zilker Park, Restaurants, Eclectic Shops and everything cool! If you want to be near it all, this is the place! SoLa or South Lamar is walking distance from the front door with wonderful cafes, shops, pubs, music and more.

An urban experience in a wonderful, upscale neighborhood.

Come stay in a wonderful 1930's remodeled home complete with tile and bamboo flooring, urban design furnishings and unusual lighting, so close to the downtown hub of Austin.

Walk out the door and enjoy coffee shops, numerous restaurants and cafes, a movie theatre with dinner (Alamo Drafthouse), eclectic clothing shops, pizza, Barton Springs, Fine Dining, Zilker Park...all within moments from the front door. Walk just 5 minutes and you have the world of completely cool Austin at your beck and call.

3 bedrooms, 2 full baths. 2 Queen Beds, 2 Twin Beds, 1 Convertible Bed.

As you walk into this beautiful home, light brown bamboo and tile floors greet you with designer fans, concrete molded kitchen counters, new kitchen appliances as well as comfy urban design furniture newly bought from Eurway and Urban Design. The couch in the living area makes into a bed for a versatile additional sleeping area. The glass dining table is expandable if you have a large group.

To your left, the front bedroom greets you with a soft, full size convertible bed. This room is versatile and functions as a den and an additional private sleeping area. This can also be used as an office area with an expandable desk/table.

Go through the shared bathroom to the middle room with the unique comfy queen bed with a silver angular frame. A designer ceiling fan will keep you cool along with central Air Conditioning.

The kitchen is brand new with a gas stove, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher and disposal.

The back master bedroom is very private with an additional bath just off the hallway. A designer ceiling fan, desk and bamboo floors make you feel at home away from home.

Staying at The SoLa Lodge will put you at the greatest location near S. Lamar and Oltorf area. Walk or drive to the hottest Austin happenings just moments away.

Great location for ACL / SXSW (special rates apply).

Welcome to The SoLa Lodge, the hip, cool house close to everything.

What a great house! Fabulous and a Great Location. Neat Ceiling Fans and Beautiful Bamboo Floors. Walk to Shops, Food, Movies, Music and more!

The house is beautifully decorated..and comfy beds! and near the happenin' neighborhood of Austin. I love this house and location. And I hope to see you come visit and see what I mean. I take great care of the house to make sure its very clean, well cared for and always in great condition.

With a fully furnished kitchen, concrete counters, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven and all new dishes, pots and pans, you will find yourself ready to cook! Just bring food. Ahhh...but I do provide coffee and set-ups.

I enjoy renting my house. It's special for me to have a wonderfully furnished home that I can share with many people. So come on out, it would be great to have you here at the Kinney Ave. House.

The Austin area has the coolest zip code. That is 78704, and that is where this house is located. 2108 Kinney Ave., Austin, Tx 78704. Zilker Park Neighborhood. Beautiful, peaceful, enticing.

Not only close to downtown and 6th street, but close to the newest happening area of South Lamar. I bought this house to be a vacation rental, so it is equipped with the newest furnishings, bamboo floors, comfy queen beds, 2 convertible beds, wifi and cable TV. Come enjoy the house, but even more, come visit cool Austin...because this house is right in the middle of everything cool about Austin. Irie Bean Coffee House, Saxon Pub, Alamo Drafthouse Theatre, Zilker Park, 6th street and so much more within walking or close driving distance.

What makes this house unique

The SoLa Lodge has 3 bedrooms, with one of the bedrooms that can transform from office to bedroom. Twin Bed and convertible couch in the front room. Additional blow up mattress available. This allows for different kinds of groups to use the house to the fullest. The tile and bamboo floors, and no pets policy allows for a clean environment that is great for adults that want to visit and enjoy Austin. This urban location is nestled in the 78704 neighborhood, while being on the edge of access to all that is happening in Austin.

Notes: it's in 78704, that should be enough :) But in case it isn't...this house is a perfect launch pad to see what Austin is truly all about. Some of our favorite restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops are less than a block away! The Black Sheep Lodge, El Mason Mexican, Barley Swine (as seen on TV!) and Lick ice creamery are just around the corner. Also, OPA wine bar, Olivias (awesome brunch!), and the famous Horseshoe Lounge.

Best Accommodations in Austin Yet!!

I've stayed in Austin several times over the years and I have to say that this was my best visit yet, due in large part to staying at the Sola Lodge this time around. The photos online were nicely representative of the space; it was extremely well furnished and very clean. The kitchen and baths had everything we needed. The price was reasonable. The location was in proximity to downtown and Zilker Park/Barton Springs and there were plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. Connie was available and courteously responsive to us during the rental process AND during our few days in town. She couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I would highly recommend this property and will not hesitate to stay in this or any other property owned by Connie during my next visit. Thanks so much for helping make our visit to Austin unforgettable!!

Wonderful Home, Loved walking everywhere!

The Sola Lodge was perfect for our group. We enjoy the outdoors, and could sit outside in the back patio under the umbrella. The BBQ grill was great. We enjoyed walking to the many shops and cafes as well. Found a fun bead shop too just around the corner. Cute area! We'll be back.

thanks for a wonderful stay- this house is super cute and a great location, I was able to walk to
so many fun places, and bike to barton springs and all the neat places on barton springs ave,
the juice bar and the best coffeehouse in town (one of em) and Thom's market had everything I needed in a grocery store. Great clubs nearby, Saxon Pub was amazing and new One to One bar
had a nice feel and a very cool band. Look forward to coming back!

Owner's Response: The Zilker Neighborhood is quite charming with many cafes, pubs, music and quaint shops of all kinds within a 1 mile radius. Most you can walk to. Glad you found the Saxon and One to One Bar. There is also the Black Sheep Lodge and a Pizza place moments away. The infamous country-western dance place, The Broken Spoke is just down SoLa, or South Lamar. The Sola area is booming with so many shops, cafes and interesting clothes. And over at Restaurant Row on Barton Springs Blvd. is an entire array of great restaurants including Chuy's, the mexican food place everyone must try when they are in Austin. The Saxon Pub always has great music, and there are quite a few coffee shops close by. Around the corner is a wonderful wine and desert place, across the street amazing Italian food, and down the street Kerby Lane Cafe which is open 24 hours and is amazing! Staying at the Sola Lodge gives you close access to many wonderful places while staying in a very nice, upscale neighborhood close to Barton Springs Pool, where you can find the Zilker Train. This is where the Austin City Limits Fest is held. I think its most people's favorite neighborhood in Austin!

Wonderful! Enjoyed the location.

The Sola Lodge was clean, comfortable and a great location - nice houses, wonderful cafes and shops close by. enjoyed to 'walk to' environment. Wish we could have stayed longer. Took the bus to downtown for the festivities. Was easy. Enjoyed Austin.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed the neighborhood. It's wonderful with many great shops and cafes close by. The quaint neighborhood is on the edge of downtown and next to SoLa or South Lamar, which gives my SoLa Lodge guests walking access to multiple eateries including Italian, Japanese, Mexican, a 24 hour diner (Kerby Lane) and close proximity to great live music. Downtown is about 1.5 miles away. Many people jump on the bus and ride to the entertainment district of 6th street. And on the other end of the Kinney Ave. is the restaurant row with BBQ, Mexican, Juice Bar, Flipnotics Coffee Shop and so much more. What a great area. Barton Springs Pool is also close by with a constant 68 degrees even in the summer. This pool is also adjacent to the hike and bike trails which go on for miles and miles bordering the Barton Creek. Quite a magical area. Glad you stayed and thank you for your rental!

Clean House in a opping area

This house was clean and the advertisement was spot on with pictures etc. The only downfall for me was the nightlife noise and the nearby train tracks. The train came by nearly every hour at night and you could hear bar noise close by. Perfect for city dwellers who are not light sleepers. Unfortunately that is not me. Other than the noise this place was great.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the house. Yes, it is in an urban neighborhood, and your sister also reviewed the house in the review above. Seems like the train may have bothered you a bit. They are on the verge of making that railroad crossing silent...though for most folks, no complaints about it.

It is a beautiful neighborhood, and yes urban. That's what makes it great! It's a nice neighborhood street walking distance to the action.

If any of my guests are concerned about train noise, I can supply a white noise machine or fans. Just let me know!
