I have to admit, I skeptical, as this was my first experience using VRBO; however, from the initial email to the owner about renting this unit, until our vacation was over, they were nothing but prompt, polite, and made our vacation very relaxing and easy to enjoy.

As for the unit itself, the linens were all fresh, clean, and new. The decorations were modern and fresh, which is to say, no wicker furniture! There were plenty of paper towels, soap, toilet paper, as well as sugar, spices, etc... As for sleeping, the beds were very comfortable and there was ample room to move around, while each of us had our own space.

The grounds very very, very beautiful, as the unit looks out to a thick and lush tropical rain forest setting, where one of the two pools is nestled in. There was a big and private fishing pier, which we pretty much had to ourselves, as we fished, saw dolphins each morning, and even a two manatees!

With a short walk, we were on the beautiful and pristine beach of Siesta Key Beach! All I can say is, "WOW"!! I have been to many a beach in my travels throughout the World and all I can say is, I have never seen a more pristine beach, which does not get hot? Apparently this beach is made of 99% quartz and reflects the heat, which is great, as we had little ones with us and it was nice not to have to run like hell to the water!

There were plenty of restaurants, shops, and eateries on the barrier island, but far enough away where you had no noise or foot traffic, which lent itself to this being one of our most relaxing vacations!

Thank you again to the owner and his staff. We would recommend this to family and friends and look forward to making it back there some day.

In answer to your response to my review, you are way off base.. I emailed you and specifically asked if we were on the beach because we didn't want to cross the road, you said we were on the "Gulf ", after calling you and complaining that we were not, you said " When you cross the bridge you're on the Gulf" Portraying the time by hitting a golf ball is a poor expanation of the walk to the beach. It takes at least 10 minutes unless you're a marathon runner... I agree with you about the lounge chairs and shade, that is not in your control as well as the weather. But all rentals have extra blankets and bedding for a pull out couch, in case it does get chilly.
You never once talked us through the thermostat, you did ask after a week if we needed you to help after which I replied no since we had the blankets after that. As far as just 2 adults, I told you 2 adults with children and grandchildren visiting off and on... they were not there all of the time... Why would I rent a 3 bedroom condo for just 2 people?
I have shown many people your VRBO Listing and the description of the condo and of the area and all have said it sounds like your on the beach side, not the Bay side.. Deceiving!
If you're looking for something on the beach this is not it. you have to walk across the street to get there.I am insulted that you think "Seasoned Renters would not agree with my experience. We have rented many times and have never been so surprised when arriving at our destination. All of the reviews are not excellent if you read them all. I suppose I should have before I rented your place...
The grounds are beautiful, but we were there for the beach, ( 2 minutes to the beach) Joke.. I am not generally a picky person but I don't want any surprises. The write up on VRBO is not accurate.. Case closed...

We had plans to go to Clearwater, but the owner double booked, so we were left in the cold, but the owner of this unit was nice enough to fit us in last minute and we could not have had been happier! The unit is spacious, very close to the beautiful sand, two heated pools, and a fishing pier!

All in all, we could not have asked for more, nor had a more enjoyable vacation!
