About Annemarie Eveland

I have had a diverse past. i enjoyed working as Social Director at a 5* Resort in Scottsdale, Storytelling, Watercolor painting, Photography, Travel Writing, Author of several books, Presenter of Personal Development Programs, Poetry writing, backpacking, hiking, camping, archaeology, I have had a LOVE-AFFAIR with the Rim Country since early 80s. I built my first home in Pine in early 80s. I feel at home best in our mountains. Nature has a wonderful way of putting us in touch with what is important and lasting!

Love people and have been in the people-helping business since I was second oldest of eleven children --helping with brothers and sisters while growing up in Arizona.

Received my universitiy degrees in Arizona, and working in real estate, catering, writing for newspapers, owning and oeprating my own Bed and Breakfast business, certifications for natural healing modalities, interested in how we can make our world better - one person at a time. I love writing about the goodness and courage that we human beings possess and actualize every day. I look for the good in others.

Annemarie Eveland purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Annemarie Eveland chose Pine

We have always loved the Rim Country and Amazing Arizona. When I sold my Bed and Breakfast home in Pine, I still wanted to look for something that would be more suitable for our enjoyment. So, finally, found a new home overlooking the Rim, views of the forest---that was perfect and I enjoy sharing it with my family, friends and new guests, who often become friends!!

This area of the rim country is always available for fun outdoor activities or some antiquing, perhaps music, or a festival. I love just getting away from the noisy and bustling city of the Valley; the clean cool pure air and scenery are a gift for healing and happy memories. I love discovering all the changing seasons and the wildlife that are so native to this area and whether I am just walking with my dog on a path or sitting with friends at a tasty restaurant or perhaps listening to the live music in the town of Pine, I can relax more than I can in the city.

Try it for yourself! I would love to meet you and introduce you to our little part of heaven.

our slogan is come as guests, leave as friends, return as family!

What makes this cabin unique

When I am at our Pine Mountain home, I am often working on it! However it is labor of love and the scenery, clean air, loverly natural setting all make it fun! I love listening to the sounds of nature, looking at our visiting elk and deer, bunnies and birds and other forest creatures. Hiking and exploring the many trails, lakes, mountains in our area is always a treat. Sharing time with good friends (that I don't see in the city as our lives are very busy) makes it a memorable getaway time. Whether we are playing some of the many games, pulling a book from our library, cooking up a delicious meal, sitting our on our second story deck, attending the many town activities and festivals, simply swinging in a hammock chair or watching the fire in a fireplace or outdoors firepit, the days slip easily into nights -- ah, the perfect time to sit and actually see the magnificient starstudded skies from our back open deck.

Whatever the season, there are plenty of activities to be in nature, or cuddle up inside and enjoy leisure time and the quietness.

It is such a peaceful and pleasant environment that restores my body and soul! Surrounded by natural beauty gifts me with the serenity that my soul craves. Come enjoy this mountain magic and restore your being.

Pine home

  • 3 of 5
The home was very spacious and work well for the family members staying there.
The owner and the manager need to communicate better. We had booked for three nights, on the second day of our stay we get a call asking why we had not checked out yet. Other guests were soon to arrive. It gave us a bit of a panicked feeling, thinking I had made a mistake, when actually the owner had not checked her calendar correctly. Many apologies were given and the owner offer us another night stay, if we ever return. Better communication would eliminate this problem from happening again.

Owner's Response: We all felt very so apologetic and wanted to make things right with guests.....offered and they enjoyed a bottle of wine from us and since they told Sheri they would come back, offered another free night for all of them. Hopefully this one time event will never occur again. Our most humble human apologies.

Lovely and charming!

  • 5 of 5
Lovely, southern charm feeling in the pines! We loved the front deck in the morning for coffee and the back deck for the evening sunsets. Our children loved the backyard where we watched the nearby deer run and they loved the hammock as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

A quied location for a relaxing vacation

  • 4 of 5
My sisters and I had a very enjoyable week for our annual reunion. Annemarie and Sheri made sure that we had a great time and had everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing the deer come right up to the back fence to feed and make new (puppy) friends. We found an ample supply of CDs and DVDs for whatever mood we wished to create. We went hiking at several nearby hiking trails.
The price was very reasonable for such a large, lovely, well-equipped cabin.

Relaxing winter escape

  • 5 of 5
We arrived on a Friday night and the host, Sherri met us in Pine and led us to the cabin. Sherri then gave us a tour of the cabin and offered any assistance during our stay and left. The cabin itself is spacious, very clean and comfortable for our party of 6 adults.

The kitchen has everything you could think of, there were plenty of clean blankets and towels and plenty of room for everyone to relax.

The only slight drawback for our party of six is that while there are 2 bathrooms, only one shower. The downstairs bathroom has a very large bath, which was nice, but no shower.

Both the property owner and host were very pleasant to deal with. We also had a well behaved dog with us and it was nice to stay somewhere that welcomed our pet. They even take the extra steps like decorating the home for the holidays to make the stay even more comfortable.

You can walk into town from the property and some great hiking is just a few minutes drive away.

We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and look forward to returning.

Owner's Response: Dear Jody, we are indeed delighted at your compliments and thank you for visiting us. On the main floor bath, that oversized Roman tub which many love to linger in, does have a handheld personal shower for guests to use that would like to feel the waterfall effect over them. Sorry you were not aware of that extra convenience. Please accept our apologies and when you visit again, we would like to add something extra for your stay. appreciatively, Annemarie owner

Beautiful setting, lovely home

  • 5 of 5
Our family spent the New Year's holiday together in this lovely home. It is warm, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you could possibly need, true to the listing. We were welcomed by Sheri, the caretaker of the property. She was most hospitable and very helpful. The owner, Annemarie, was delightful to work with from beginning to end. It was our first visit to the Pine, Mogollon Rim area, and we loved the beautiful scenery. A day trip to the Tonto Natural Bridge was fun for the whole family. An extra bonus was the fenced in backyard, so we didn't have to worry about the kids or the dog. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We had the best time!
