This is a NON-SMOKING apartment

Nestled in the Latin Quarter, this studio surprises and delights. From the 14th century street, who would guess there would be a bucolic paradise behind the big doors? Set into a private street accessible only by a coded entrance, and with greenery present throughout the year, it feels like walking into your own garden as you climb your personal flight of sculpture strewn stairs to this charming studio.

Within easy walking distance of the bustling well known market street, Rue Mouffetard, yet bathed in delicious silence, the only thing to disturb your reveries are the birds in morning song.

This is a neighbourhood steeped in history, where you can feel the breath of the Musketeers flow out of Dumas’ pages and at the same time take advantage of all the services on offer: bakeries serving hot croissants and bread fresh from the oven, bistrots frequented by locals, cheese shops, right down to cinemas and theatres.

Only a hop, skip and a jump away are such world famous sites such as Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, Jardin des Plantes with it’s renowned Natural History Museum. Only next door is the 1920s Paris Mosque and it’s tea-room straight from a Delacroix tableau. Around the corner, you can play petanque in the 1st century Roman amphitheatre – Arenes de Lutece or walk over to the Seine and dance tango at weekends while watching the boats pass up and down.

The studio is self-contained with everything from guides on Paris to wifi, free international phone calls, your own verdant window boxes and a kitchen-dining room.

Ideal for a couple with 1 queen-size bed. It has catered for 3 with a futon supplied extra.

Rates : €70 per weeknight / €75 Fridays & Saturdays / €450 per week

€10 euros supplementary fee for the futon per night

About Andrew

I started my life as an engineer. I've been lucky enough to work in about 20 countries around the globe. I've lived in Paris for 16 years and now teach at university. In my spare time, the abundance of art in Paris has inspired me to do some of my own, so don't be surprised if you find me sculpting or painting next door where I live.

Andrew purchased this studio in 2003

You are within easy walking distance of Notre Dame, the Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, the Botanic Gardens among others. Discover my neighbours who, for the most part, also speak many languages, including English. It would be a delight to have you enrich our local neighbourhood with your tales. Perfect place for a nice and quiet time in Paris

We stayed at the studio for 3 days and it was perfect. Basic but what else do you need? Nice comfy bed/sofa. We enjoyed the peace and the absence of street noise since it was tugged into a nice little courtyard. Free internet access and international phone calls was greatly appreciated and Andrew is certainly a nice chap :)
The location is perfect for Paris. Lots of different restaurants in the area and the studio is located near metro and bus stops. But we could easily walk to the center of Paris. And the price is in some ways unbeatable for Paris.
Hope to be back in Paris one day and then we will stay there again.
Thanks for everything.

We stayed for 9 nights and LOVED the location of the place and having our "own home" to return to every night. The place is described and photographed very well in Andrews presentation. Andrews quick response to our inquiry and all his great suggestions for places was a great bonus to this place. We enjoyed exploring Paris by foot and using the Velib bicycle system in Paris, so we actually never used the Metro..not even once. Next time in Paris we'll definitely first of all check if Andrews place is available!

exactly sufficient, charming apartment.

this is a perfect place to stay: it is quiet and clean, centrally located, secure, affordable, and stocked with tea. even in the winter, the courtyard is delightful and you will have the pleasure of ascending daily the coolest staircase in the city. metro and bus are right down the street. andrew is incredibly easy to work with and quite friendly. i would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone.

Perfect Place For Us

My husband and I stayed in this studio for 2 nights and were very happy with the location, accomodations and our host, Andrew. We chose this place because Andrew responded quickly to our email and included detailed suggestions of places to visit. Andrew invited us to his apt for tea soon after we arrived and gave us a wonderful suggestion to see an opera and how to get discount tickets, One of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely contact him again if we ever make it back to Paris.

Great stay!

My friend and I had a wonderful time staying in the apartment. It's in such a great location. The apartment was very comfortable and in a quiet area. The owner always asked us if we had everything we needed and if we were comfortable. A really great stay, I would definitely come back and stay in this apartment again.
