We could not have chosen a more delightful place to come home to each day during our five-day visit to Carmel/Monterey to celebrate our 30th anniversary. “Nest” is the best word to describe the charm, coziness, and warmth of “Piccolo Casa”! As previous reviewers have shared, Lydia was an amazing hostess, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This apartment has good energy! The special decorative touches create an ambiance of tranquility. The snacks were a special treat –perfect choices. We loved exploring Carmel and returning to the spot on the 17-Mile Drive where we were married. We were gifted to have beautiful weather the entire time! Our anniversary dinner was an amazing dinner at “Casanova’s”, voted Carmel’s most romantic restaurant. Lydia’s husband is the maitre’ d there and made sure we had the most romantic table in the house! What an extraordinary memory! Be sure to take the trip to Big Sur and have lunch at the famous “Nepenthe’ restaurant! Watch for whales and dolphins along the way and be blown away by zillions of yellow poppies along the coastline! We would not hesitate to tell anyone about this wonderful find in Carmel!

Piccola Casa was almost as delightful as our hostess, who welcomed us upon arrival, made sure we had everything we needed, and insured we felt right at home in this special place. We will be back!

We stayed here for the presidents day weekend and our stay was wonderful. The unit is super clean and Lydia was generous with various snacks, milk, coffee and OJ. There is no stove but we didn't feel the need to cook much since the microwave and toaster are provided. We hope to. IME back soon. Thanks for such a pleasant time.
