Overview

Morin-Heights Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

Everyone needs a getaway and I think this little jewel is definitely one. Our intention was to create a luxurious accommodation without losing the feel of staying in a 1935 log cabin in the woods. The linens and furnishings are top quality,

the furniture is very modern but comfortable, well beyond what one would expect in a rental property, The kitchen is completely equipped right down to the plastic wine glasses for the hot tub.

We understand that you do not get a second chance to make

a good first impression. We want our guests to feel at home in a luxuriously pampered atmosphere. Hopefully they will want to come back and enjoy all four seasons with us.

We have put the price range at a rate that everyone can afford.

Less than half the price of a good hotel or bed and breakfast.

Imagine spending the days on the ski slopes or using the cross country ski trails, that are just steps from the cabin, taking a steam shower or coming downstairs to enjoy a quiet evening with a glass of fine wine in front of the stone fireplace. Perhaps you will prefer enjoying that glass of wine, while soaking in the hot tub underneath the stars and surrounded by the tall Canadian pines.

We have added a queen size blow up mattress with all of the proper bedding, should another couple wish to bunk out in front of the fireplace.

We have added snow shoes for those who would care to take a walk into the woods and flip flops for around the hot tub.

For the Spring, Summer, and Fall Seasons we have provided bikes, so that our guests can enjoy the nature trails all year round.

Does life get any better than this?

About Erin McEvoy

We are 3 girls that have traveled extensively and know what we look for in a rental property.

We purchased this property, knowing that we would make changes and improvements that would wow our guests. We believe in the best quality for an affordable price.

Erin McEvoy purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Erin McEvoy chose Morin-Heights

We fell in love with the location. The cabin is nestled in the woods and enjoys privacy but also has easy access to everything one would want. This is all within walking distance of the village, beach, cross country ski trails, snow shoe, hiking and biking etc.

What makes this cabin unique

Definitely the linear park and the beach. You can literally put your cross country skis on at the front door and off you go. Walk into the village and enjoy the local gossip of village life or a drink at The Comfort Inn.

memorable stay in a very Cozy Cabin

  • of 5

Our stay here in Morin Heights proved to me more then we could have imagined. From the moment we arrived and saw the heavy snow flakes falling upon the most little cozy cabin we knew we had found the most romantic place to spend our 6 days. The details in the outstanding decor to the finest touches of candle holders, throw blankets and a complimentary bottle of wine to welcome us just made it all so warm, comfy and peaceful.

We had no idea that Morin Heights was the capital of XC skiing. We had the most amazing and challenging ski days there and were happily rewarded by the hot tub and steam room that awaited us.

Saint Paddy's day would not have been complete without our own huge snow man built with the perfect sticky snow and perseverance of my partner. We celebrated as if we were true Irish and made the best of The Old Orchard in Saint Sauveur.

The downhill skiing in Saint Sauveur is not to be missed, a much underrated ski hill compared to Tremblant definelty needs to be experienced. It brought me fond memories of my first downhill experience back in 1994 on the greens of Mont Avila. Perfect conditions in snow and temperature were much rewarded at the main lodge with a warm steamy Spanish coffee.

Having the 6 days to rest, eat and play were by far one of my favourite weeks away from the usual hustle and bustle of the real world. We highly recommend this peaceful haven and hope to return many more times. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Sublime idéal

  • 5 of 5

Excellent - simply excellent!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at the Cozy Cabin and we found it excellent - simply excellent! The location in the woods is beautiful. It is in very close proximity to snowshoe and cross country ski trails through a pristine forest of pine and birch. Downhill skiing is minutes away by car. The cabin itself has a romantic rustic feel but is equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for. We'll be back!

Cozy and comfortable

  • of 5

We stayed for 5 days in January 2015. The cabin is as advertised, clean, neat and well maintained, very well suited for a couple. Steam shower is a nice feature, and the fireplace (down in the living room) is great. Can't say anything about the hot tub as we couldn't use due to some maintenance. The location is nice for cross-country skiing (one can skate ski there too) and snowshoeing (and two pairs of snowshoes are another nice feature at the cabin), the trails are walkable (3 min, probably) from the cabin. Going up the hill in the car to the cabin might be a bit tricky if you're not used to the snow uphill roads, but doable. Overall: very comfortable, really nice for a getaway.

love at first sight!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I arrived and we fell in love with this little cottage. After a crazy holiday season with the kids, this is just what we needed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cottage is minutes always from snowshoe trails as well as ski hills which is great. When you do come back a spa and a steam shower is great way to finish off your day.

The cottage is modern but still keeps rustic touches.

Will definitely go back to this cottage or maybe another one of their properties so we can bring the kids.

Thank you !!

Wonderful stay at the cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights there and as many others stated before the cabin is exactly what you would expect form the pictures. Very cozy, has this unmistakable feel of a log cabin but with all modern amenities. The cabin had everything we needed. My girlfriend was very happy with the kitchen :). Every little detail is thought after, whether its flip flops, bathrobes and towels for the hot tub or dry logs for the fireplace. The location is also very convenient 2 min from grocery stores, 10 min from Mont Saint-Sauveur and 45 from Mont -Tremblant. One tip to those traveling to Tremblant, go back to St Sauveur and then take 15N again, way faster and better roads.

We enjoyed our stay very much and want thank owners for the great time we had. Also, our thanks to Francois who was there to help us if needed. Looking forward to visit this wonderful cabin in a different season !
