Great location, great home
The location alone makes this home an amazing vacation. Blowing Rock's quaint downtown is perfect for just everyone. Restaurants, shops, parks, bars, delis fill this little town offering something for every age. Everyone from the kids to the adults said it was the best trip in years, we skiied, ice skated, hiked, stared at beautiful scenery and barely drove to do it all. I would offer a suggestion for a restaurant but once you step inside the home you won't want to leave. We ate in every night, taking over the kitchen and family area like it was ours. The round fireplace kept us busy for hours and I found myself relaxing in the chair (pictured) on the porch in near freezing temps at sunrise just to soak it all in alone! The river below is a perfect background noise to drown out all stress, needless to say it was perfect. The homeowner was extremely helpful, the home was spotless, we had zero issues. I would suggest this to anyone in need of a great vacation.
