LUXURY BEACHFRONT HOME WITH SPECTACULAR SUNSETS

We rented this home at the end of September for a family wedding. Between all of us, we have 7 children under 7, so we looked quite extensively for a property that could accommodate us comfortably. We are so happy we found this place! The home itself, the setting, the access to the beach, the fishing, the playground, the movie theater... all contributed a perfect home base for our family wedding weekend! The layout of the house was perfect for a big group, with a number of different couples/ families. The bedrooms on the first floor and downstairs in particular are very helpful, as there was ample space for everyone. We felt like we could all be together, yet we were in no way on top of one another. The rooms are all spacious and the layout allowed for different nap times not to matter, something that was vital to us parents! We also appreciated the large open kitchen, as it meant we could feed the kids and ourselves comfortably and simultaneously, as opposed to a million people packed into a small room all at once. The views from the house are truly spectacular; the Master in particular one not to be missed. Given the time of year and the unfortunate weather, we weren't able to use the pool or experience the property as much as we would've liked; I can only imagine how difficult it is to leave in the nicer weather.

The owners could not have been more helpful and hands on (when needed), only further contributing to our experience. All in all, it was truly a perfect find for our family and we hope to come back next summer!

This is an amazingly beautiful property with a very responsive owner ready and willing to help make your stay a truly wonderful escape. The home is lovely, and the location is unrivaled. The home provided most of what we needed, and when we told the owner of a few small things it lacked he worked quickly to remedy the situation ( even personally going to get us a can opener!) We did provide our own soaps and papergoods - which at the rental rate we had hoped would be provided, but this was a minor aggravation soon forgotten.

We stayed for a week with another family - in total 4 adults and 5 children... and all of us loved our vacation here! We spent countless hours exploring the shoreline, climbing the rocks, and beachcombing. Everyone loved round-the-clock access to the pool. Taking walks, visiting the lighthouse, going to Newport (for Cliff Walk, mansions, shopping, & dining at Brick Alley Pub... long-time fave!), taste testing at all local ice cream shops (Scoop being our fave in end!), taking yolates class at Island Heron Yoga studio, running around the local playground, and watching movies in the home theater rounded out the week's activities. For food we sampled several local restaurants (Slice of Heaven had great coffee & breakfast foods while Fish served best dinner), cooked in the more than spacious kitchen, and hosted a magnificent old fashoned clam bake (by EJ Ryan - truly fabulous!!). Our only true regret was not staying longer! We love Jamestown and are sure to return!

We had a lot riding on this house, location, and owner. Not only was it a vacation rental for us, but also was going to be the location for our wedding! To say the least, it was a dream come true and exceeded our expectations in every way.

The home is absolutely incredible. I cannot express how fantastic the layout of this home is. A lot of thought was put in to the design of the home and it truly is an architectural gem. As an example, you can be showering in the master bath and watching the kids in the pool and policing the driveway at the same time, who thinks of that? The rooms, hallways, and common areas are all extremely spacious. Every detail from the wood selection, to the seashell driveway, to the cozy nooks make this place very comfortable. The bed in the master was so comfortable that the wife made me buy the exact same one when we got home! The home is set on a gorgeous and very private piece of land, looking for privacy? This is it. You can spend your mornings hiking the miles of coastline that wrap around the island, offering endless views of the Atlantic, Jamestown and Newport coasts, and you don't even have to leave the property to get started. Whether you want to lay on your private ocean rocks, enjoy your private beach, or swim in your secluded ocean view pool, it's all right there for you. If you're a fisherman, you've got striped bass at your disposal less than 100 yards from your kitchen.

As far as a wedding location, like I said, a dream come true. We hosted the ceremony, wedding and rehearsal dinner at the house, there was just no reason to leave! No venue rules to live by and no location as beautiful. We popped a large (Sperry) tent ocean-side and had ourselves a fiesta. The main level of the home is perfect for entertaining and can handle multiple guests. A large kitchen, dining area and bar allowed for a perfect indoor/outdoor event. A separate entrance for caterers allowed for a seamless flow. What a way to spend a week, a wedding one day and pure relaxation the rest!

Overall, whether you're looking for a secluded family getaway, a week with friends, or a place to host a wedding, this is your place. The owner is a fantastic guy and has great ties to the local community and businesses. If you need a clambake guy or want the best chowder in town, he'll set you up. He was a pleasure to work with and extremely helpful in every way.
