Wild Roses is a lovely 1940's house with a great flow and beautiful light. It is perfectly situated in the center of Bar Harbor but off the beaten path as it it sits on a small street behind the post office. The only reason to drive down the street is if you live there so there is no traffic and it is very quiet.

On the main floor there is a living room, kitchen and dining room, and laundry area.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom.

Two bedrooms have a queen bed and the other has twin bunk beds.

The house is fully equipped with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, linens, and towels.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. There is an air conditioner on the second floor.

There is a Weber propane grill and a picnic table and benches in the yard in begind the house.

Our family has been coming to Bar Harbor for years, and no visit has been as "sweet" as the one we've just had while staying at Wild Roses. With its perfect location, we literally walked to all in town attractions (Lulu's Lobster Boat trip, restaurants and shops, movie theatre, beach, Bar Island...), and easily navigated the Explorer Bus system that took us into Acadia and all about Mount Desert. Even the grocery store and post office were just steps away. As a result, we actually sent the postcards that we bought! The house itself is absolutely adorable, with its old world warmth and charm, yet totally updated for today. It is bright, clean, well-appointed, artistically pleasing and you can't help but feel HAPPY the moment you walk in the door! John and Holly were gracious hosts whom we met briefly; they generously offered welcome (and "right-on") advise about local "Must Do's". Our time at this sweet home couldn't have been sweeter. There is nowhere we'd rather stay than at Wild Roses when we return to Bar Harbor next year!

We loved our week in Bar Harbor and this house had a lot to do with it. With its perfect location, we walked everywhere. The house has a lot of old-school character with the feel of new house, due to the recent remodel. I would definitely recommend this house to friends/family. P.S. Go eat a Morning Glory.
