Villa prana, is a deluxe and spacious 4 bedroom villa located in Dawn Beach

We just returned from a week at Villa Prana. What a lovely home. From the beautiful views to the immaculately maintained home and garden, this house exceeded my expectations. The kitchen has every gadget we wanted, the cabinets were full of great spices and the space...the space was perfect for gathering together and relaxing.

The house is perched on a cliff above the Westin. The beach access to Dawn Beach is a bit of a walk, but not difficult. It takes about 5-8 minutes and involves walking down the road about 500 feet and then down a set of stairs to the back of the Westin timeshares. Not okay for young children or people with disabilities or challenges with walking; the stairs are pretty steep and it's all uphill on the return.

Because of its cliff location the house is very safe. There's an alarm, the gate has a remote and all of the doors and windows have hurricane shutters that close with remotes. The A/C is wonderful at keeping the house cool.

The owners provide daily housekeeping during the week (what a treat) and the gardener, Marc, comes in as needed. The house is lovingly decorated with beautiful island treasures and the house is surrounded by a Zen garden, complete with bird feeders, tropical plants and statues. It's lovely.

The only drawback to this house is its fourth bedroom, which is on a level below the main house and accessed from the driveway. This bedroom has its own bath but it's physically separated from the house and not nearly as nice. All the other rooms open onto the pool deck are are much lighter, airier and more open. Also, because of security concerns, the main house is locked down at night. This created, for us, a situation where the people on the lower level couldn't get in in the morning! We worked it out but it wasn't ideal.

Dawn Beach is gorgeous and mellow. Oyster Pond has restaurants ans snorkeling and the Westin is a beautiful property. They SAY you can't use/rent their chairs but it's amazing what $20 will buy!

Villa Prana is nicer than these pictures. With a steady breeze, fabulous views in several directions and the owners' dedication to making the stay comfortable it's well-worth the trip.
