The house has 6/7 bedrooms plus an extra large sleeping area on the 3rd floor with 3 twin beds. One of the 6 bedrooms is a dedicated kids room with 3 more twin beds. There are 4 updated bathrooms in the home. The kitchen is also newly redone and has a large eat-in area with lots of mountain charm, plus a large table to accommodate 10-12 people. The kitchen has lots of windows and is a bright and sunny place to start the day. It also has 2 refrigerators and an ice maker. There is a large dining room that can seat 10-12 people. If your group needs more space, there is a fully stocked private cottage with 2 more bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an eat-in kitchen that is located directly behind the main home. This charming mountain home is located on the practice fairway of the Linville Country Club. This golf course has been named “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” in 2006-07 by Golf Magazine, and also named “America’s Best Courses for North Carolina” by Golfweek. There is a state of the art exercise facility available to you and an outdoor heated pool directly within walking distance. If eating at a 5 star restaurant is appealing to you, you are also within walking distance of the Eseeola Lodge. If hiking is your hobby then you will be in a hiking mecca with dozens and dozens of gorgeous hikes within miles of the home, both easy and challenging. Within a few minutes drive is the beautiful Grandfather Mountain, elevation 5946 feet. Grandfather Mountain has 11 trails varying in difficulty from a gentle walk in the woods to a rigorous trek across rugged peaks. Popular hikes include Cold Springs, Lost Cove and Hawksbill to name a few. Whatever your fancy, you can find it in Linville. In less than twenty minutes you can hike at Linville Falls, or explore Linville Caverns. An hour away, you can tube the Toe River. This adventure is suitable for all ages. The summers are full of hiking, biking, trout fishing, rafting, or site seeing. Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway or shop at the historic Mast General Store that has been in the area since 1883. Here you can find outdoor gear or satisfy your sweet tooth at the Candy Barrel. Go shopping in Boone or Blowing Rock and peruse the local artist scene. In the winter great skiing is within close proximity at Sugar and Beech Mountains. On these same mountains you can hike and mountain bike in the summer. Not too far down the road is the Tweetsie Railroad, a great Wild West adventure for the little ones in your group.
