RECENTLY RENOVATED OCEANFRONT FARMHOUSE W/SPECTACULAR COASTAL VIEWS ON 200 ACRES

Cheticamp House Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, sleeps 6

Views don't get better than this!

Charming oceanfront farmhouse on the scenic Cabot Trail situated on 200 acres between the quaint fishing village of Cheticamp and the world renowned Margaree River Valley.

Remodeled in 2010, this home offers an open first floor featuring a beautiful well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, dining area and living room. First floor also features a full bath and a washer and dryer. The second floor consists of three bedrooms--two with ocean views--and a half bath.

The wrap around deck overlooking the stunning rocky coast can be enjoyed day and night, as the consistent ocean breeze keeps the bugs at bay while you relax outside or barbecue on the new grill.

With spacious grounds, this vacation property provides ample space to entertain or simply relax while enjoying the breathtaking coastal scenery.

Cape Breton: Travel and Leisure magazine named Cape Breton the third best island to visit in the world, and the number one island to visit in continental United States and Canada.

'I have travelled the globe. I have seen the Canadian and American Rockies, the Andes and the Alps and the highlands of Scotland, but for simple beauty, Cape Breton outrivals them all.' - Alexander Graham Bell

GORGEOUS SCENERY & SPACIOUS, WELL-EQUIPPED COTTAGE

Gorgeous Scenery & Spacious, Well-Equipped Cottage
  • 4 of 5
Cape Breton was spectacular! We'll never forget the natural beauty of the place, and the kindness of the people. The home's location could not have been more perfect! The ocean, the cliffs, the sunsets, the whales, the fishing boats, the Cabot Trail -- like a painting each day! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the furniture was comfortable. We gave four instead of five stars for one reason only -- the length of the queen-sized bed! Our feet banged against the end-rail or dangled off of the edge each night. Overall, a wonderful place.

LOVED THIS HOUSE

  • 4 of 5
We loved staying in this house. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. We have 17 year old sons who liked having their own rooms, with one of them big enough for them both to hang out in at night. We love the location- close to Cheticamp and all of the awesome restaurants (and Aucoin Bakery) and to the trails of the park. The house is cozy, with wonderful views (we saw whales from the chairs out front), a great kitchen, and comfortable living room to rest in after hiking all day. And having a fire while the sun set and the stars came out was one of our favorite parts of the trip. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND PERFECT LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
This home is located in a perfect location for exploring the National Park as well as the areas on the Cabot Trail. The home has a/c which was very much appreciated for the few very warm days and nights we had during our stay. The owner Paul is fantastic to deal with and is quick to answer e- mails and questions about the area. The kitchen was fully stocked and is evident that the owners like to cook which was nice when we brought back fresh lobster from the docks to have the big pots to cook them in and the utensils and tools to eat them. We were fortunate to be there during lobster season in that area. In the park the Skyline trail was our favorite that provided views that pictures or words can't express the beauty enough. One thing that we had to adjust to was the early closure times of grocery and shops which required pre-planning as we are used to things always being open late. The Dory Pub, Wabas pizza and the Seafood Stop were great. However, we do not recommend the All Aboard as the portions were so small for the price and did not taste that great either. The Aucoin bakery was excellent for bread and desserts. Loved the French influence in Cheticamp and the friendliness of the people in the area. We did whale watching out of Pleasant Bay and saw tons of Pilot whales so exciting. Took the small Zodiac as it enhanced the experience a great deal. All in all this area was such a nice place to vacation.
