I am a native Californian who wanted to spend my Milestone Birthday by the Beach, since I am now a six year resident in Georgia. I brought a friend and her mother, who had never been to California. I was hoping for a wonderful stay and show her mom how wonderful California can be. Unfortunately, we had a positive and negative experience. The Positive is that the house is close to the beach, it was clean and had a nice layout, just like the pictures posted, and Phil the owner was very nice. The negative was that it was warm in the house (upper duplex) and had no airconditioning. Fans were provided, but when you opened the windows and doors to let the cool air circulate, you heard loud voices from downstairs and neighbors side to side and across the street. Every night there were loud parties with loud music to the wee morning hours, forcing us to close the windows and sleep in warm rooms, along with broken sleep from the noise. There are a lot of rental houses on the block, so it would be a hit or miss on tenant noise during your stay. Nice house (Duplex) Phil, and I know you have no control of the neighborhood, but no, I would not choose to stay here again.
Owner's Response: I have made it a priority to let me know the environment of the beach area. The area is very active with a 30ish population. I do not know any properties in the area with air conditioning.
