Charming 1 bedroom, 1 bath garden apartment in 1860s townhouse. We offer a comfortable home away from home that will allow visitors to explore our fabulous neighborhood. Boerum Hill's restaurants, nightlife and entertainment options are renowned -- Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue are just a short stroll away. There is nearby access to multiple subway lines so we are minutes away from Manhattan and the Airtrain from JFK is only 4 short blocks away. The apartment features a separate entrance, newly renovated bathroom, well equipped kitchen, and the bedroom in the back opens onto a sunny garden with a private area to relax or grill.

We live upstairs and love this area. We are happy to offer directions, advice and recommendations regarding places, events, and services in Brooklyn and beyond.

The closest train is the F/G at Bergen Street, one block away. The Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop on the A/C and the Hoyt Street station on the 2/3 are a 5 minute walk. Within a 10 minute walk, you can reach many other lines at Jay Street, Borough Hall or Atlantic Terminal.

We first came to Brooklyn to attend performances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (about 1/2 mile away) and were smitten. There is a wide range of restaurants, shopping and entertainment, mostly without the huge lines you find across the river.

Boerum Hill is located in the heart of the brownstone belt of Brooklyn, between downtown, Park Slope and Cobble Hill. It is known for its restaurants, food shops, shopping and architecture. Located near multiple subway stops, it is 15 minutes to lower Manhattan and 30 minutes to Midtown. Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Barclay's Center are within walking distance.

My husband and I live in the area and I rented this apartment for my parents when they came to town. The apartment and backyard are very charming, and it was a comfortable stay. The location is also great - near lots of neighborhood restaurants, bars, shops, and also very subway convenient. We'd recommend!

In March 2013 we spent a week in this well maintained garden apartment. For two persons, an ideal place to stay. Weather did not permit to enjoy the garden; it was simply too cold. But inside it was nice and warm. The owners were extremely helpful in sharing information by email about the apartment and the neighbourhood. Subway was only one block away, so most convenient for travelling to Manhattan. Shops and restaurants are very close to the apartment. Rucola and Char No. 4 were great suggestions! We will certainly recommend this apartment to friends and family visiting New York.

My wife and I enjoyed our recent stay in Brooklyn. The apartment was cozy and convenient to the subway. The owners were very helpful in answering our questions, and they provided a guide to nearby restaurants. We would like to return sometime when we can enjoy the garden (we were there in February). We had some trouble getting the vent open in the fireplace, but we didn't really need it because the place was kept warm.

Located very close to Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station. Three stops from Manhattan and walking distance to Barclay Center. Clean, comfortable, well maintained and quiet. Walking distance to markets, shopping and small quaint restaurants. Great score!!! There is a portable air conditioner for summer use. Highly recommend, great value.

We really enjoyed our stay in this clean, pleasant apartment. The apartment is convenient to shops, subway stops and restaurants. The bedroom is confortable and quiet and the bathroom and kitchen have been updated. The owners provide lots of helpful information and helped make our stay everything we could have hoped. We'll be back.
