PRIVATE LOG CABIN NEAR MERAMEC RIVER IN QUIET WOODED SETTING

Jacks little Cabin exceeded our expectation. Was the perfect get-a-way retreat for my Husband & I.
The listing was very accurate, the photos were right on target, the property was Very clean -Well Maintained & Welcoming, our hostess was very helpful w/any questions or concerns we had & not only would we recommend this property but we are already checking our Calendar for a return visit.
On our way down we stopped for a wine tasting at Belmont Vineyards and after having dinner in Steeleville at The Mo. Hick South...we return to the cabin & enjoy a very relaxing evening in the Hot Tub w/a glass of wine. Perfect way to unwind! The next morning we were greeted on the front porch by Sunny (the resident lab) who joined us for a stroll in the country side. Afterwards we headed down to Scott's Ford & spent some Quality time enjoying the very cool- beautiful Meramec River. We actually had the river all to ourselves until about 2 PM (which was rather nice.) After a quick clean up we headed into Steelville for a Sundae at The Soda Fountain then took a nice drive out to Dillards Mill (another Beautiful place to visit) where we explored into the early evening. When we arrived back at the Cabin we enjoyed some Cheese & crackers for a lite Dinner and then another sit in the Hot Tub before bed. The next morning we enjoyed our coffee & leisurely took our time packing up. It was actually hard to leave this Wonderful little piece of Paradise.

My husband, two sons and I had a wonderful at Jack's Little Log Cabin. We enjoyed walking to the river, sitting in the hot tub, having a campfire and just soaking in the peace and quiet. The cabin is extremely clean and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The owners live on the property and are there if you need anything, but give you privacy to enjoy a peaceful vacation. It is an easy drive to Steelville, where we highly recommend eating at The Fountain and also an easy drive to Onondaga Cave State Park where we toured two caves. It was a blast! One of the most fun family vacations we've ever had!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was fitted with everything we needed to be comfortable and we enjoyed our trip immensely. Our favorite activities were relaxing in the mineral spa, cooking on the grill and making smores on the fire pit. I have never come back from a vacation feeling so rested!
