Looking for a place that you can go to and get away from it all or maybe a place where your family can “reconnect”? Are you looking for a corporate retreat in the mountains that is close to Asheville and other area attractions? Than look no further, you have found just the place. Our home is located in Leicester, just a short 20 minute drive to Asheville (and no scary roads).
Come enjoy the spectacular views of rolling knolls and picturesque mountains. Enjoy the quiet of the country where wildlife and wildflowers abound.
The home is situated on 4 acres, has over 3000 square feet of living space and is tastefully decorated. If you have allergies to dog or cat hair you will have no worries because pets are not allowed here. The front porch has two porch swings to enjoy in the morning or the evening, when the fireflies put on their light show. There is a wraparound deck off of the main floor with storybook views to enjoy.
The main floor has a large kitchen, perfect for a large get together, a breakfast nook, dining area, living room (wood burning fireplace), and the master bedroom. There is a covered screened in porch off of the living room and master bedroom. Did we mention the wonderful views from the oversized windows?
The master bedroom has a king size bed. The master bathroom has a large Jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower.
The bottom floor has a professional size Brunswick pool table, a game table and sofa to relax with family and friends. There is a large cement patio where you can enjoy the rocking chairs and a good book. The third level has two bedrooms, a bathroom and a loft. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has twin beds. The loft has a trundle bed that will sleep two. Each of the upstairs bedrooms has a private deck to enjoy the sunrise or sunset.
This house is at the hub of many area attractions such as:
The Biltmore Estate; Chimney Rock; Grandfather Mountain; Gem Mountain; Dollywood (Pigeon Gorge, Tn); Cherokee Indian Reservation; and Maggie Valley to name a few.
There is something for everyone, or just stay on the porch and recharge your batteries. A gazebo is on the property with wonderful views where people can smoke, as no smoking is allowed in the house due to family allergies.
We do not rent the home out for weddings or receptions.

My family of five really enjoyed this property. It is well appointed, situated in the hills and close to everything you need. We would all stay there again.
My family and another family stayed at Flying Fish Hill and we had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space to stretch out and be comfortable with several gathering areas! The views were amazing- family was commenting on the views from the pictures we took! With small children, it was nice not feeling "trapped" at the house during nap times, since we could retreat to the game room. We would definitely go back to Flying Fish Hill again!
My sister's and I had the pleasure of spending our Annual Sister's Trip at this beautiful location. We all agreed that it was the most relaxing and felt right at home. The home is very warm and inviting. The pictures does not do any justice! We enjoyed the Annual Craft Show, Downtown Asheville, exploring different areas of Asheville.
Spending time at the house was exciting! The pool table/gameroom kept us busy for hours. Other times, sitting on the porch and the Gazabo provided hours of talking and laughing. Sitting by the fireplace on the cooler nights was so relaxing.
Owners provided good communication and directions.
We are a group of grandmothers, who have been friends, and traveled together for over 30 years. This truly is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. The view of the mountains from the back of the house is breathtaking, at times. It changes throughout the day, and from day to day. There is a view of the neighbors farm with cows grazing, which adds to the serenity. The home is well equipped for a large crowd. We shopped all around the area, played games, and just enjoyed the scenery. We all loved the Flying Fish, and will likely return there. We can't recommend it highly enough!
We stayed in this Beautiful home for a Family Get together. Perfect location. We could get in to Asheville within 20-30 minutes. We spent our time touring Asheville, The Biltmore and hiking in Pisgah National Forest. Sliding rock is a Must Do!!! My only regret is that we didn't spend more time at the house. The pictures don't do it justice, it's even better seeing it in person. I loved waking up to Roosters and Cows and sleeping with the windows open. We don't get that in the city. Would love to come back. thank you so much for letting us use your lovely home.
My family recently stayed at this property. We were in Asheville for a family wedding.
The house is amazing! Lots of space, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and very well
appointed. There were plenty of dishes, glasses and cutlery which was really convenient. The house was very clean and looked exactly like the photos.
If you like being in the country and don't mind a 20 minute drive to Asheville, this place is awesome. Asheville has lots to do and is worth the drive.
We will return for sure.
