There are fascinating views of the harbor and out across Sir Francis Drake's Channel to Salt & Peter Island. Allamanda Apartment is situated 5 minutes walking distance between the Moorings and Village Cay Marina. All the conveniences of Road Town are minutes away - dive companies, day sails, all ferry services to outer Islands, shopping, restaurants & the capitals financial centre. The central location enables visitors to Tortola only to require a short drive to a different beach everyday.

I moved to Tortola, British Virgin Islands in 1991 & soon after that met my husband. We moved into Allamanda Apartment and lived there for 6 years when our second child was born. We didn't move far, just right next door into a larger apartment. So we have spent 22 years at Tobacco Wharf and still love it there.

Living on the water's edge in the heart of Road Town is a unique experience. The 750 square foot dock is like an extension of your living room. In the day you can relax on loungers under the shade of an umbrella. The view is constantly changing as the comings & goings of the Moorings boats and dingies crossing the harbour is a constant source of entertainment.

In the evening hundreds of birds come home to the mangrove island just off the dock. A beautiful sight not to be missed.

The central location of the Allamanda apartment has enormous benefits to most visitors to the BVI. You will probably want to visit other islands as Tortola is surrounded by other sister Islands. From the apartment you can walk to the ferry docks for Virgin Gorda, Peter Island and St. Thomas in USVI. You may also want to go scuba diving and several Dive companies operate from Road Town. You can easily rent a car for a few days & explore Tortola's magnificent beaches. From Road Town there isn't a beach more than 25 minutes away - from East End's Long Bay to West End's Smugglers Cove or up and over the hill to Cane Garden Bay, less than 15 minutes away.

We enjoyed our time at the waters edge. The location is great and the apartment had everything we needed. The lounge time on the deck was most enjoyable. Lisa was very helpful and provided us with local insights. The dock was a great asset for our rental boat.

GREAT LOCATION AND VIEW OF HARBOR

We spent six night here. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was within easy walking distance from town (10 minutes)and the yacht club (5minutes). We used the chaises on the deck and had cocktails while we watched the boats move around the harbor. The bed was comfortable which was a plus. We had issues with a weak WI FI signal. There is a Macaw named Doo Doo who we enjoyed but might be a nuisance to others. We enjoyed our time at tobacco wharf.
