Wonderful time in Exuma

My husband and I have had the most wonderful time in Great Exuma. We stayed in this lovely villa and everything was as it was advertised on the website. It was nice, clean, spacious, perfect for 2 people. We had a little mishap on the 1st night with no hot water upon our arrival, but Scott took care of it first thing next morning. He was very welcoming and had wealth of information about the island. He also invited us to several gatherings and tried his best to make out stay very-very comfortable.
Our stay came with a free rental car, which proven to be very useful to have. It allowed us to explore the entire island and various beaches. Definitely nice to have a car, not necessary as water taxies and regular taxies are available, but when you want to explore, a car is a must have!
We really enjoyed the island, people, and the beaches. We absolutely were in love with the whitest and softest sand and emerald-blue waters. We explored Great Exuma, Stocking Island, did Eco Tour with Robert around various cays. He was a wonderful guide. We got lucky, because we were the only ones on his boat, so he took extra time showing us some wonderful spots. We also did another tour with Coastal Destinations to different cays, went all the way up to Staniel Cay, had a blast on that tour! Great Exuma is a beautiful island with great weather, nice people and absolutely amazing waters. We will definitely come again in a heartbeat.

Exuma is a very unique place to vacation and is what you make it! There are enough things to do in Exuma for everyone - you can just chill at one of dozens of great beaches or fill your days with boating, island exploring, tours, excursions plus loads of great evening entertaining spots throughout the week.
It was unfortunate that the hot water tank chose to pack it in when it did and that our property manager didn't catch that prior to your arrival. But. our property manager, Kingsley, immediately responded to the call and within 16 hours (on Christmas Eve) had a brand new 30 gallon tank installed in the Villa.
We are fortunate to have such great professional help available to us in Exuma and that gives us the confidence to know that whatever property related issues may come up they'll be handled promptly and with a big Bahamian smile!
We encourage the use of a rental car while vacationing in Exuma, even if it's just for a few days at the beginning and a few days at the end. A rental car saves you the $35 taxi fare to and from the airport. It also provides you with the opportunity to explore the island in ways that shuttle buses or all-inclusives cannot - we'll tell you all the good spots to find on your own!
