The Little Blue House, llc is an 1895 Carriage House converted into Big Timber's first official Tourist Home in June of 2011 and perfect for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Keeping with its original charm and character, this 'in-town' vacation home offers nightly rentals within walking distance to fine dining, shopping, a movie theater, local bars stocked with locals, followed by a church for everyone!
Big Timber is flanked by the Yellowstone and Boulder Rivers, so access to World Class Fly Fishing is just minutes away. Horseback riding, a float down the river, hiking the Crazies, a visit to the Crazy Mountain Museum, or wild game and bird hunting is so close; you would think it's in our back yard!
The Little Blue House welcomes you to a private courtyard, with a BBQ, outdoor table with seating and a hidden hot tub. Comfort awaits as you walk through the front door. The living room is warm and inviting with a stone wrapped fireplace, cozy sofa, leather chairs, a flat screen satellite tv, and art on the walls.
Passing through the living room, the charming kitchen is 'just like yours'. You will find a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, stove with oven, a microwave, pots and pans, lots of dishes, oodles of glassware, a blender, mixing bowls and mixer. Expect items like spices, foil, saran wrap, olive oil and more.
Off the kitchen is a small bathroom with a shower. Off the other side of the kitchen is a hallway to the 'Main Floor' bedroom showcasing a mid 1800 4 poster mahogany full sized bed. Simply put, it spells old fashioned charm and romance.
Dashing up the stairs, you enter a private 'Suite', featuring a white tiled bathroom with a garden tub for a soothing soak after a long day. A king size bed adds comfort to your stay upstairs, along with a separate reading area, a flat screen satellite tv, built in dresser and a writing desk. You'll also find The Little Blue House guitar hanging on the wall for your use.
We can offer the home as a 'Whole House' (2 bedrooms) or simply as, 'The Main Floor' (1 bedroom). Whichever option you need, it is your choice, and 'all of it' is completely yours. We do not rent to anyone else during your private stay at The Little Blue House.
We are NOT a B&B. We do not turn down bedding at night, put a chocolate on your pillow, or serve fancy eggs in the morning. We don't even make your bed. The Little Blue House is truly 'your home' away from home. Our goal is to provide guests with a high level of privacy and independence, while still being right next door, available for help and guidance if needed.
Although our Little Blue House has been thoroughly updated, its vintage charm has been retained. We worked very hard creating The Little Blue House. We adore it, and hope you do too!
