Being in the middle of West Village, it is so easy to have a great time and enjoy the city life right out the door. You can literally become a New Yorker in minutes. I really hope you enjoy the apartment.
Good value for money, close to transport.
Only complaint would be the refrigerator needs replacing as it doesn't work, which was a hassle for us as we were in NY with very hot weather .
We rented both apartments in this building. Our son and his family stayed in one, and we stayed in the other. Both were just wonderful- clean, spacious, well-equipped. While some reviews mentioned the noise of the subway below the apartments, we did not find it a problem at all, as I thought it might be. The manager and the super were both so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was great. These apartments were miles above the usual too-small, too-expensive hotel rooms we had gotten used to in New York.
The apartment was in a great position. It was comfortable but if noise bothers you, the noise of traffic and the subway would be an issue. Everything functioned but it was in need of a spring clean. Both the super John and Luca were very helpful. I would stay again.
We feel safe and very comfortable in this apartment which we use twice a year.
It is in a very nice area, with lots of restaurants, near to banks, post office, cleaners/lunderers, grocery store. Walking distance to Soho. The people responsible for it are very helpful and always available. It is on a second floor so not the best for older people should they have disabilities. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
This property was a great pick for a girl's weekend.
The pros: The availability of staff if we had questions; The open floor plan; Extra linens & towels available (we made up the couch into sleeping area to accommodate 3 guests); Accessibility to a taxi or subway; Restaurants & nightlife galore within a 10 min walk.
The cons: it was very dusty & could use a closer look at the nook & crannies of the apartment by the cleaning crew. There was a half used bar of soap left from the previous guest with hair stuck to it. The first morning I prepared breakfast, the pan in the cabinet was dirty with old food and the plates were stuck together with something that had spilled in the cabinet. It was apparent the apartment had been tidied up, vacuumed, and restocked with the essentials like TP, fresh towels & linens. This property overlooks 7th ave a pretty busy street, the noise was expected, nothing a white noise app didn't take care of.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for these amenities in the city.
After reading some of the great reviews we booked this place for the holidays and the location was prime. about 2 small blocks away from the subway station, restaurants everywhere, and in a safe neighborhood. But just like other reviews mention there is a rumble from the tracks and there's a bar across the street and restaurants everywhere so you may hear some people chatting outside at night. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would consider it again when I visit NYC.
