Snorkeling, kiteboarding, surfing, swimming, fishing, diving, windsurfing and many other watersports are available right out front or at the many surrounding spots within a short drive.
Villa Coqui has been designed in the spirit of traditional beach shacks by optimizing a tranquil, open common space and by minimizing distractions, bells, whistles and touristy knick-knacks. We've deliberately minimized decor and large scale entertainment centers to optimize your tranquil island experience. The decor includes original art of the surrounding area, cool tile floors throughout and simple, comfortable furniture. The expansive front windows provide brilliant light that give the main room an open, airy feel. Enjoy a good book on our 'L' couch, or plan an exciting day with your friends and family at the round kitchen table over fresh local mangos, papayas and oranges. Villa Coqui has plenty of ceiling fans throughout, which help provide great ventilation and bring the fresh Caribbean air direct to your senses. Escape the high rise condo/apartment complexes. Trade the beach hotel experience for a more intimate and private beach vacation.
Villa Coqui boasts 2 bedrooms with A/C in both: one holds a full bed; the other 2 bunk beds. Both rooms also have open, hanging closets. The beds are fitted with all organic, eco-safe, breathable cotton linens and pillow cases for a comfortable and natural deep sleep.
Other necessary amenities such as hot water, refrigeration, a gas range, toaster oven, blender, in-line tap water filter, cooking utensils, and dining ware are provided. The house is best suited for 4 people for maximum comfort and adequate living space; however, an additional person could be accommodated on the couch if needed (additional fees apply). A stereo system and high speed internet with WIFI are set up for your enjoyment at the house.
Outside, you'll find landscaping that includes lemon, palm and aloe plants. Birds and other wildlife frequent the area including wild parrots, pelicans, tropicbirds, doves and cormorants. There's also an outdoor shower behind the house -- perfect for a fresh air rinse after a great beach day. Our porch comes complete with chairs and a small table for relaxing over a morning coffee, book or chat. There's also a charcoal BBQ perfect for entertaining a few friends in the evenings.
The neighborhood is quiet, safe and secluded in a small beach community that claims an extremely friendly Garden Bar just a few blocks away. There are 2 other restaurants within a few minutes by foot. Within about 20 minutes by auto, you can access grocery stores, more restaurants, movie theaters and gift shops. Other activities at the beach or nearby include tropical horseback trail rides, golf, caving, rain forest hikes and more. We're happy to provide plenty of suggestions for recommend activities based on your vacation needs.
