The Eagle Valley Cabins is about 500 square feet and approximately 200 feet from Delaware River. The cabin has it's own fire pit. There is a picnic area and barbeque. The cabin sits on 260 feet of riverfront. The West Branch of the Delaware River is known as the best wild trout fishing east of The Rockies. We are located at the tail waters of the Cannonsville Reservoir, so the constant flow of fresh cold water makes trout fishing marvelous. The cabin boasts a covered porch, the perfect place to relax while reading a great book or observing the wildlife. The fully equipped kitchen allows for homemade meals in the privacy of your own cabin. Air-conditioning, ceiling fans and heated for winter use. The hosts were very helpful and quickly responded to emails and phone calls. The wireless internet was very, very good. Others complained about sulfur water, but it was great for us. We cooked oatmeal with it and showered in it, maybe a hint of iron smell, but not a problem for us. The heat was so good that we woke up sweating when it was about 15 degrees outside, so don't turn it on High. Only drawbacks are that it took a lot of driving to get to good hiking spots in the catskills. I guess it is mostly a great fishing spot, but we are not fishermen and it was January. Also, cabin weekends are always more fun when there is a fireplace or stove, but that is hard to maintain safely when random guests are always visiting. Otherwise, great weekend!
Awesome place , Pat very responsive, enjoyed my stay , highly recommended
Had a great weekend here. Cabin was in great shape, really clean. Beautiful area in the fall. Nice relaxing place to hang. Did some trout fishing in the river right down the bank from the cabin, sat by the fire at night. Had some great food in the town of Deposit. Friendly place and I will definitely go back. The owner, Pat was really nice and easy to get a hold of. Highly recommended for a guys weekend get away.
Cabins were very nice. The River was close by. The area tackle shops are a disgrace bring, whatever you can with you. Communication with Pat was good. Koo Koose Grille was nearby with good food for dinner.
We just spent two much needed nights away from the city. We loved the cabin. It had everything you could need comfort and cooking-wise. Plus it is really clean and new looking. The accessibility to the river was amazing - we had some fresh caught trout for dinner! We will definitely go back to stay there.
