Family Fun

Windsong II is a favorite of ours! We've stayed there several times over the past 10 years. We love it because it is located in an ideal spot and reasonably priced. Windsong II is close to the beach access as well as being just down the road from a variety of shops & terrific restaurants (Route 54 is one of our favorites!) Also, it is within a few miles of the beautifully restored Whalehead Club and a new nature museum. In addition, the historic Corolla Lighthouse and a wild horse touring company are also in that same area. The Corolla Chapel is also delightful! The cottage is perfect for getting together with family and friends. (My kids especially love the bunkbed room!) When everyone has had enough fun in the sun, they enjoy coming back to the cottage to play shuffleboard, basketball, and even a little hide-and-seek in the back yard. Because we've stayed in the cottage over the years, we appreciate the updates in furniture, TV's, and wi-fi! We highly recommend Windsong II - it is an affordable, family-friendly cottage in the heart of Corolla!

The Windsong II at Whalehead in Corolla is an awesome vacation getaway home! This home is an extremely affordable property in an exclusive area of Corolla. The home is very family-friendly and well-stocked. We loved the view from the upper deck where we spent each morning with a cup of coffee and the sunrise! The other decks on the house have wonderful views as well. The shuffleboard court and basketball hoop entertained our teens for hours! Whether you have a family that fills up every room or you just want a quiet week away as couples, this home is everything you're looking for and more. We would highly recommend it to any vacationer who likes the Corolla area yet wants a good reasonable price for a vacation. The beautiful Corolla lighthouse, a must-see, is only minutes away. Also be sure to check out the Nature Center which has many year-round activities for all ages.

A Wonderful Vacation Home!

We absolutely love the Windsong II in Corolla! Tucked in a perfect spot one row back from the beach is a quaint, family-friendly place with wonderful views. The home is very clean and well-stocked, and many can comfortably vacation there. Coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was one of my favorite activities. We enjoyed the beautiful views from all the decks of the house. The shuffleboard provided hours of entertainment for my kids when they were not on the beach! The price is unbelievable- this home is reasonable! The grocery store as well as many varieties of shops and restaurants are only minutes away, and the beautiful Corolla lighthouse, which is a must-see, is only a couple miles down the road. This is one of the best kept secrets in Corolla- a reasonably priced, family friendly home with a "home away from home" feel. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to vacationers who are looking to stay in an exclusive area of the Outer Banks in an affordable and well-maintained home.

Family Friendly

This is a smaller house among very large homes, making it our favorite for more intimacy with close family and friends. The double deck with entrances off all the bedrooms is exceptional. The ocean views from the top deck are beautiful. We watched a pod of playful dolphins in the ocean while having our breakfast on the deck. The bedrooms are sized well, the kitchen well-stocked, and all is very neat and clean. The sunporch makes for another place for young people to sleep. The owners are user friendly, which was very important to us. We've been there twice and would love to go again. We give this our best recommendation, especially for families.
