Whether you are traveling with your own nurse or by yourself; Whitefish could be a perfect destination to rest and recuperate after a surgical procedure. If this is something that you are interested in you should call for details as each situation is different and requires thoughtful preparation.
If rented as a B&B (in which case the property owner may be in residence) the entire downstairs is self-contained. It includes a large great room with high ceilings and breath taking views of the lake.
Furnishings include sofa and love seat, television, tables and chairs, and a kitchenette with an island. It also has a microwave oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, bar stools, toaster/broiler oven, powder room, and a covered patio. The en suite queen bedrooms each have full bathrooms. This arrangement would be perfect for the person who is frequently in and out of town, a house hunter/buyer, or one who is building in Whitefish and often needs to be on-site. WHITEFISH - The City of Whitefish has been receiving a lot of attention lately. First, National Geographic Magazine called Whitefish Winter Carnival one of the Top 10 in the World. Then, Harper's says Whitefish is one of the Top 25 Best Ski Towns in the World. Now, Vogue Magazine has something to say about Whitefish, comparing it to Aspen, Colorado.
Vogue Magazine has included Whitefish in a Travel article called: Destinations of the Month: Ski Towns, USA. Whitefish is the last town mentioned out of the 6 towns featured. The article compares Whitefish to Aspen. They wrote that the Vibe in Whitefish is like Aspen.
Whitefish residents are reacting in a mixed way, either they're upset that the article was even written, because they don't want the secret to be given away, and others say that Aspen is better than Whitefish...
The Whitefish Winter Carnival and several restaurants were also mentioned in the Vogue article. Other towns like Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Telluride, Colorado were also mentioned in the article.
