Fun in Killington

  • 5 of 5

This unit is in nice shape and is supplied with everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked, the condo is very comfortable, and it could not be cleaner! The fireplace is great. It is nice to be on the second floor so there are no skiers coming and going with boots on over your head. The proximity to the feeder trail is great. Barbara is a huge help with planning your trip and is wonderful to work with. We had a great time!

Family Ski Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This year we chose Killington and it was an exceptional pick. Accommodations were comfortable plus the condo owner was eager to make sure our stay was pleasant. Skiing was excellent and we even had one day of 8" of new fresh snow. Our unit has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining, living room (fireplace) and was ski on ski off.

Clean and cozy. Conveniently located; owners courteous and very helpful. Perfect for groups of six or families. Nice to be on second floor so there was no upstairs noise!

Enjoyed our Stay!

  • 5 of 5

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being excellent) both the communication/assistance from the owner and the condition of the clubhouse facility rate an 11. The clubhouse seemed brand new. The staff at the clubhouse was very friendly as well. The condition of the condo unit was a 10. We rent a lot and this unit had everything one would expect as far as amenities (kitchen needs etc.) While it was not a problem for us, it should be noted that stairs are required to use the unit. I would highly recommend the unit. My damage deposit was returned promptly. My remaining comments on Ski in / Ski out are not a reflection of the unit or the owner and I note that before I was allowed to book the unit, the owner was very clear on the possibility of not being able to ski in/out at all (as in seasons that lack snowfall). Like every ski area, the ski in ski out trails can only be as good as the others due to mother nature. We arrived shortly after a large snowfall period that was followed by a bit of freezing rain coating the entire area.

The first day we walked the parking lot (about 50 yards mostly downhill) to the Sundog trail. We also walked it back at the end of our day. Everyone in our group commented on the difficulty of the walk and vowed to try something else. The parking lot was very icy and could have used another good salt/sanding from the maintenance staff. It took us about 8-10 minutes to walk it. On a better day it would have been an easy 3 minute walk.

On the second day we decided to try the feeder trail behind the condo. This trail was hard packed with some ruts and a bit of icing to it. As a better than average skier, I found this to be no problem and it sure beat the parking lot walk. The walk to the feeder trail was about one minute. From here the free lift was a 90 second run. I used the return trail at the end of the day as well (although I had to sneak under a closed gate at the start of it?) which brought me right back to the condo. Our weaker skiers were not as comfortable with this route because of the trail condition. They made it down but chose not to return that way. That was OK though because at the end of the day they just skied right to the beautiful clubhouse where I met them with their boots, towels, and bathing suits in hand. That evening I noticed a trail groomer go over the feeder trail which likely improved it. We didn’t try it again because our last day we drove to the main base area to meet friends. I’m sure it was better.

Perfect Ski Condo for 6 People

  • 5 of 5

Our party of 6 couples stayed at the condo over a long holiday weekend and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The ski on/off access is seamless, and in practice it is even easier than the owner's description suggests. The unit is comfortably furnished for 6 people (3 real bedrooms and 2 full baths) and could easily fit a 7th person if someone is willing to sleep on the day bed. Additionally, the condo comes with unlimited wood and fire-starters, which we took full advantage of using the large living room fireplace. Barbara (the owner) was very helpful both before and during our stay - when there was a minor issue with the number of towels provided in the unit, she quickly addressed the situation and it was no big deal. Only negatives would be that you have to drive a short distance to use the hot tub (although it is a very nice outdoor tub) and the mattresses are starting to feel a bit old (but we slept fine given full days of skiing). We would definitely stay here again when we return to Killington!
