Find a comfortable and friendly old-world non-smoking holiday flat at Villa am Park -centrally located in a very quiet cul-de-sac, with high rooms admitting lots of natural light. There are two large rooms (the one facing north-east being the bedroom, the south-west facing lounge offers a view of the adjacent 'Herrengarten' park). The lounge may sleep another two persons on a convertible couch. A fully fitted kitchen is set between these two rooms, with a French window giving access to the spacious balcony terrace. Children will find a large attractive playground in the adjacent park (three minutes' walking time). Market Square, pharmacy, chemist's, bookshop, cafés and restaurants as well as the castle of the Counts and Princes of Solms-Braunfels are within a two-to-ten minutes walk. Delightful fresh food will be found in the regular Tuesday Market and at the 'Blattlaus' organic grocery stall each Saturday, both in 'Am Kurpark' street at the top of Kirschenhohl from 9.00 to 13.00 h.

This small-town idyll nestling at the foot of the fairytale neo-gothic castle of the Counts and Princes of Solms-Braunfels is situated about 60 kilometres (40 miles) due north of Frankfurt-on-Main, on a hill set between two minor river systems opening onto the Lahn river valley. - For over 100 years, Braunfels has attracted those seeking peace and relaxation in healthful surroundings. Grandfather Dr. Carl Gerster was among those actively promoting Braunfels as a health resort. Braunfels is one of the pearls in several tourist routes: Solmser Strasse historic route, Lahn-Ferienstraße holiday route, Deutsche Fachwerkstrasse architectural route all run parallel at Braunfels. A short détour (4 km = 2.5 miles) takes cyclists to Braunfels from R 7 cycling route. Long-distance hikers will pass through on Lahnhöhenweg trail or a branch of St. James' Trail. - Short-time visitors will enjoy the views in the heart of town while those with more leisure will discover regional attractions.

How to get there: By train: from Frankfurt or Kassel via Giessen to Wetzlar; from Cologne/Ruhr district/Muenster via Siegen to Wetzlar; from Koblenz-Limburg to Leun/ Braunfels (RB) or Wetzlar (RE). From the ICE-stop at Limburg there is a shuttle bus to take passengers to the Lahn line at Limburg. - From Wetzlar, take bus #5403 for Braunfels (Europaplatz) or the regional train (RB) for Limburg-Koblenz to Lahnbahnhof Leun/Braunfels (4 kms from town). *** By car or motorcycle: from autobahns A5, A 45, A3 via federal road B49 to the exit at Leun, turn right immediately to reach Braunfels via Lahnbahnhof (right turn).*** By Bicycle- from Wetzlar, take Lahn-Radweg bicycle route R7 to Burgsolms. - from Limburg, take Lahn-Radweg bicycle route R7 to Leun-Lahnbahnhof. From there to Braunfels on ordinary or forest roads. Guests arriving by public transport may be collected from rail or bus stations at Leun/Braunfels, Wetzlar, or Europaplatz Braunfels on prior notice.
