Photos and Description of the Pilos vacation apartment rental

Our penthouse is a comfortable place with a lot of room in an especially beautiful surrounding. The vacation villa is situated on top of our house, which is surrounded by lemon trees and flowers. The sea and the little harbour of our village Gialova - where you can shop as well as dine or have your aperitif - is about 600 m away. There is a long sandy beach stretching out for several kilometres, so you never get disturbed by your neighbour. There are a lot more beaches to discover, for example the lovely sheltered bay of Woidokilia (4 km) or the beach of Petrohorie with large dunes and huge waves at the open sea (6 km). The little town Pilos is about 6 km far from us, it's got a lovely market-place with its front to the sea and a lot of cafés, taverns and even bars. There are a lot of things to do here: swimming, diving, going for fish or renting your own boat, walking the hills, watching birds at the famous Gialova Lagoon or visit our ancient sites.

The Navarino-Bay and the beaches nearby are lovely to discover. The sand is fine, the water is crystal clear and the temperatures are made to make you eager for a swim - up to December, our bay has around 18°Celsius! There are a lot of fishes and other underwater-inhabitants here... your host will be pleased to take you in his boat for a round trip to show you our bay. This place is an especially good area for wind-surfing as well for the bay is sheltered from rough weather... ask our son! If you like to discover the past, we've got the 'neokastro' in Pilos and the much older 'paliokastro' at the exit of our bay, which was built in times of king Nestor who was visited by Odysseus... long, long times ago!

Notes: Our penthouse is quite spacey and offers you a lot of room to feel comfortable. There is a sleeping room with a French-bed and - separated from the living-room but without door - another sleeping room with two single beds, which can be united if you like. If necessary, there is another sleeping-place on the sofa in the living room and we could add another bed on request (so at least, there is the possibility for 6 people to sleep in). You've got a kitchen within the living room, stuffed with everything you might need. The shower is freshly made, small but beautiful. From the big terrace you overview the surrounding hills, Gialova lagoon and the sea. Here you may enjoy the end of the day with a glass of local wine, while the stars appear in the sky right above you. Your children are especially welcome!
