Amazing place to stay with easy access to Ski Areas!

Overall, the Black Bear Chalet was a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved how close it was to Whistler Village, as well as to the local grocery store and spa (which was within walking distance, if one was so inclined!). The Chalet is in a neighborhood that has easy access to local ball fields and hiking trails into the mountains and along the river that runs through the village. It is also very close to the cross country ski paths in the area, which provided a nice change of pace to skiing each day!
The bedrooms were spacious, and we enjoyed being able to turn on our in-room gas fireplace and watch the flame while relaxing in bed after a long day of skiing and site-seeing. Also, the living room and dining room both held our entire party comfortably with plenty of comfortable seating for meals or game-playing.
We thoroughly enjoyed shopping in the local market down the street and cooking family-style meals for our group in the well-equipped kitchen. The grill also worked very well, and there isn't anything that beats grilling burgers on a second-level deck overlooking the Whistler/Blackcomb Ski areas.
The heated floors were a very nice touch that we did not take for granted.everyone loved the ability to get out of the shower or make breakfast barefoot without freezing.
Our group also very much enjoyed the hot tub right outside of the laundry/mud room, and the bathrooms to use to get in and out of the hot tub were a very nice touch. The hot tub fit six people comfortably, but we were able to get seven people in when needed. It was very nice to sit and relax in the hot tub after a long day of skiing and watch the snow fall in the neighborhood.
