Ramona or Howard Laucks
Our names are Ramona and Howard. We are in our mid-forties and have lived in Florida for most of our lives. Ramona owned and operated a day-care center in St. Petersburg and Howard was a maintenance technician for a large condominium project. We both enjoy hiking, boating, fishing and cooking.
During our mid-life crisis in the summer of 2010, we made an exploratory trip to the North Georgia mountains and fell in love with Blue Ridge. We were looking for a full-time residence and, after spending many hours with a realtor, we chose this particular property mainly because it was not a cabin but a home. This is an older house, the inside of which had to be totally renovated.
We moved into our new home in April 2011 and have spent the summer preparing the separate ground floor for our guest.
After the hectic city life and the Florida heat and humidity, we now enjoy the peace and serenity of the North Georgia mountains and the change of seasons.
