ALPINE AERIE: NEW, DELUXE HOUSE, INSIDE PARK! SPECIALS IN JAN!

Yosemite National Park House Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, loft, large game room, 3 full baths (sleeps 6-12)

Welcome to our NEW (2011) mountain house, Alpine Aerie! We believe you will truly enjoy your stay in the tastefully decorated house with a great floor plan.

The three-story house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, loft and large game room downstairs. Master bedroom (king size bed) and master bath are located on the top floor, as well as a loft area with queen size sleeper sofa.

Kitchen, living area and two bedrooms (queen size beds) and second bathroom are located in the middle level. Entrance to the house is through the middle level with an easy access from the parking space: only 15 feet from the parking to the deck, one step down and two steps up to the main level of the house.

Kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and beautiful locally harvested granite countertops. The dining area seats 10-12 people. The great room is furnished around the gas fireplace and the large windows so you can take advantage of the mountain scenery of evergreens, oaks and manzanitas.

Further Details: The large game room is located downstairs. It has a double size futon sofa, TV, WII, game table (3/4 size pool, air shuffle, ping pong and flick football) and dry bar with refrigerator. The third bathroom is also located downstairs.

Relax and unwind on your private deck while listening to sounds of wildlife (mule deer, squirrels, Steller's Jays and coyotes are frequent visitors) and watching stunning sunsets that only Yosemite has to offer.

The house is located in the Yosemite West neighborhood, (elevation approximately 5,000 ft) off highway 41. While Yosemite West is technically not inside the National Park, it is surrounded on three sides by Yosemite National Park and Sierra National Forest. However, the entrance to the neighborhood is through Yosemite National Park approximately 17 miles (27 km) inside the South Entrance. Therefore you will go through the gates before reaching the house and DO NOT NEED TO WAIT IN LINE for the rest of your stay.

The distance from Yosemite West to famous landmarks are: Badger Pass Ski Area 6.5 miles (10,5 km), Tunnel View 8.3 miles (13,4 km), Bridalveil Falls 9.8 miles (15,8 km), Wawona Hotel 12.4 miles (20 km), Ahwahnee Hotel 15.9 miles (25,6 km), Glacier Point 16.2 miles (26 km) and El Portal 21.7 miles (35 km).

Please note that there are no large grocery stores inside Yosemite National Park, most overnight visitors bring in their food when entering the Park.

Welcome to Alpine Aerie!

This is perfect for staying in Yosemite. Plenty of room for kids and lots for them to do. Upstairs bedroom provides privacy for grandparents who may want to get away from the middle of it all sometimes! Everything is new and child proof. Easy to get to.

When booking accommodation from down in Australia has at times seen some disappointment upon arrival. Not so Alpine Aerie, it is a beautiful Home Away from Home, we reluctantly had to come to leave. All enquiries and requests were answered immediately. We would most certainly recommend this property to anyone seeking a quality base from which to experience the fabulous Yosemite national Park. What a beautiful well appointed home! We enjoyed this conveniently located home on our recent vacation to Yosemite. The home was spacious and had every amenity we could have asked for. (Except air conditioning) Apparently very few homes do have A/C in the mountains because it is not really needed, except for a few days out of the year. So we opened the windows to cool off the place and were fine! The home was very clean upon arrival, had plenty of towels and staples in the kitchen. (salt, pepper, sugar, oil, etc.) We enjoyed the large deck and grilled almost every night. The children thoroughly enjoyed the game room downstairs and were thrilled with the foosball and pool tables as well as the WII system. The surrounding area was quiet and conveniently located in the park. The convenience of staying inside the park was well worth it! We would definitely recommend this home to future Yosemite visitors.

We have a large group of people (12) staying in this house for two nights. Our group has a mix of elderly, young, and kids. Everybody enjoyed our staying here. The master bedroom (upstairs) is spacious and the master bath is stunning. The two other bedrooms are smaller but good enough for a couple to stay. Kitchen and dining room are large and the utensils are great. We especially like the well-equiped game room with refrigerator. Kids spent a lot of time playing Wii in the game room while we adults enjoyed our leisure time sitting on the large deck, chatting and viewing the beauty of nature. We also liked the gas barbecue grill on the deck. We would definitely consider it for our return trip.

We rented this house based on it's proximity to Yosemite National Park to use as our base for day trips to the Park without a long drive to and from our lodging and without staying in a hotel. This location worked perfectly as the drive to the park is short-about 15 mintues-so the location is ideal. Plus we headed to Kings Canyon after Yosemite so being on the south side of the park made our trip to Kings Canyon a little shorter. The house looks and feels brand new inside but it was built several years ago. The owners have kept it well maintained and it is very clean. The bedrooms were great for us as there were two on the main floor and a master upstairs. The basement also has a pull out couch and my teenage son stayed down here as he liked having his own space with a TV and it was cooler in the basement as there is no AC and we had a hot week the week we were there. Typically we were not in the house during the day and around 6 or 7 it would start to cool off as the house as it is at a fairly high elevation. The house is very clean and the kitchen is very nice with plenty of cooking supplies. There are a lot of brids and wildlife in the area so we enjoyed eating dinner on the deck and watching for wildlife as the sun set for the day. Yosemite West is a little pricey but you are paying for location and not having to drive a long way each day after hiking all day and being able to have berakfast and dinner at the house was the way to go. Overall a great place to stay and the owner was very helpful in setting up our trip.
