We spent a lovely time in this charming et comfortable house. Thanks so much for your care of us and thanks for your help.
Rachel, thank you for giving my husband, Mom, and I a preciously perfect retreat as we watched our daughter's playoffs for 2 days. You spared no expense. I love the decor down to the smallest detail. Great relaxation on the front and back patios. Wonderful sunlight pours through the windows as you sip your coffee. Just perfect! Thank you so much.
Owner Rachael Oesterle did a great job in her complete renovation and restoration of this Cottage. She is easy to work with and committed in making your stay most memorable and enjoyable. She furnished this house with new furniture, flooring, appliances and bedding that made for a very comfortable stay. The tv could be larger in size, but there were plenty of time spent outdoors that made up for time spent watching tv. The outside plantings, water fountain, and front yard floral garden made sitting on porch in the early mornings and evenings so relaxing. We stayed two weeks and brought our two puppies on their first getaway vacation. Cooler temperatures and greeness of the surrounding neighborhood made for a nice get away for us and our puppies. Downtown is very pet friendly. Although you have your own private driveway we recommend you park in the street as there can be very busy traffic on Mt Vernon Avenue, which is lined with many wonderfully renovated Historic homes and close to town square and Whiskey Row. We plan to stay entire month 2015.
We recently stayed at the Little Blue House in Prescott, AZ, The house is adorable, very
inviting. Loved the kitchen. The house has a lot of charm. The people of Prescott were
very friendly and we look forward to returning to Prescott & The Little Blue House. The
owner was very easy to talk with and made us feel very welcome.
This was our second time to stay at the Little Blue House, and we will return again and again! With two bedrooms and two baths, it worked really well for two couples. The house has a perfect feel, balancing historic charm with tasteful updates and furnishings. Everything we needed was here, and the lovely terraced back yard with squirrel, chipmunk, quail and other birds is a bonus. Easy walk to downtown with good variety of pubs, restaurants and shops, or just enjoy walking for exercise through pleasant neighborhoods. This is the way to do Prescott!
The Little Blue House is a warm and charming place to stay for a few days or, as my wife and I did, a few months. It is located in a safe area that is close to all the main attractions (downtown area, restaurants, shopping malls, fitness centers, and hiking trails) in Prescott.
Being recently renovated it provides a clean and easy flowing environment. The tiered patio in the rear has a small fountain which all of the native birds love to use and also provides a great place for eating, relaxing, star gazing or watching the sunrise. A comfortable front porch, complete with multiple rocking chairs, offers an excellent view of the sunsets.
The owner is very congenial and helpful. She has cookies and wine waiting for us when we arrived! We highly recommend it.
We go up north every christmas with our two young boys and this year was by far the most memorable. The little blue house was a perfect back drop for a wonderful christmas vacation. The home is situated near the end of a beautiful historic street about a 10 minute walk to the downtown square. As we arrived we met the nice neighbors next door and loved the welcoming front porch. Upon entering it was clear the home had been recently remodeled keeping all of the original charm and character of the cottage. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and cookies, which spoke volumes about the gracious and accomodating nature of Rachel, the owner. The home was decorated beautifully and very comfortable not to mention perfectly clean. We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen, the warm fireplace, the garden tub in the master, the great views out back and the super comfy beds. We walked almost every day to downtown and drove just 45 minutes to cornville to enjoy Arizona wine tasting at three arizona wineries. The home was not too "small" (maybe 1300 sq feet?) and had a great open floor plan and tons of light. We will be back for sure and would love to make more memories at the little blue house.
