Marcus and Roseana live and work in Miami, Florida. He's an executive with a credit card company. She just retired from working for an international bank. They have two grown-up sons and keep their vacation home as immaculate as their own home in Florida.

'We simply love the mountains, and Colorado was an obvious choice: a gorgeous state, with friendly people. Finding a place in Boulder was also an easy decision: we wanted to stay close to one the best places to live in the U.S.'
So far from the world, yet so close to everything. This modern, fully furnished house is located in a gorgeous canyon, tucked in the mountains, among trees, with a creek crossing the property. Take your car, and in less than 20 minutes will are in the middle of one the best cities to live in the United States, full of life, with everything you need. You'll enjoy every minute of your time there.
We just enjoyed a wonderful week in this fabulous vacation home. When we were trying to find a place, I agonized over various homes and scrutinized the photos, trying to select the best possible rental for the week—I’m in California wondering what is the best location for us in Colorado. We wanted to be near Boulder, but ideally up in the mountains a bit—yet with a good central location so we could travel to Estes Park, Denver, Fort Collins, with Boulder being nearby.
We scored! This home is 11 miles up a gorgeous canyon road from Boulder. It didn’t take long to get to any of our destinations, and we were so happy when it was time to return to the house because the house was such a fun place to be.
It’s a great house! I was with my husband and our two teenagers, and the floorplan suited us perfectly, with a bedroom/bathroom on each level.
Downstairs: the game room is awesome. We love ping-pong and played hundreds of games over the course of the week. There is also a pool table (under the ping-pong layer), and a dart board.
On the main level, we enjoyed the gas fireplace, and it was a cozy place to gather between games. On this level also is the big screen TV in the family room with a Wii and Mario Kart game – and a giant sofa recliner that comfortably fit my family of four as we raced each other around the track.
Upstairs is the master suite, and the rain shower head deserves a mention: nice!
We never used the hot tub or ventured to the gazebo by the creek—we were just having too much fun at the house—but both looked fabulous.
There is an amazing trail that starts directly behind the house, and travels for miles through some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. We ran and hiked on this trail, logging a six mile round trip on the day we explored the furthest.
Best of all: Marcus was extremely gracious and always communicative with us. We exchanged many email notes and became pen pals to the point where I feel that I have a new friend!
This place was exactly the location we were looking for. Completely secluded in a picturesque snow-covered valley, but 20 minutes from civilization. The home itself was beautiful and clean. I would love to go back with my whole family or a group of friends. The beds were all comfortable, and it's big enough that people could do their own thing if they wanted.
We went hiking and the trail has some great views. The creek near the gazebo was really pretty and would be a nice place to hang out in warmer weather.
Marcus was very accommodating and the property is wonderful. Secluded, yet accessible. Great for our family. Kids loved it. Easy ride to Boulder.
We arrived to this beautiful property and immediately could settle in and relax. It was everything the owners described and more. They always answered our questions in a timely manner. There was plenty to keep our whole family entertained (especially the ping pong playoffs!). There was plenty of hiking, lots to do in Boulder, and we enjoyed just being together. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone and also would like to return someday.
This was a beautiful place to spend a vacation in and around Boulder. The house is in great shape, very well-cared for and well-appointed. It is immediately adjacent (a few hundred feet walk) to a great mountain trail, and tucked in a beautiful location on Lefthand Canyon Drive - just driving to and from the house is a great experience. (Note: It took us about 12 minutes on average to get town, and about 20-25 minutes to get downtown to the Pearl Street area.) In addition to being an easy drive to/from Boulder, the house was convenient to Nederland and to Rocky Mountain National Park, and had plenty of room for two parents, three children, and one additional guest for a week. (One note for parents: The three bedrooms are on three different floors. From our perspective, that afforded comfort and privacy all around and worked out great, but we had not realized it before.) With respect to the owners, Marcus was very welcoming, helpful, and prompt, and the transaction itself was a pleasure. Boulder is a wonderful place to visit, and we hope to get back there soon.
We spent five nights with our two young children and loved it. The location is fantastic - 15 scenic minutes up the mountain with beautiful views all around. Close to downtown Boulder (once you get down the mountain!) and lots of trails, restaurants and family activities. House was clean and comfortable with beautiful views from lots of windows.
